Added the 1990 Topps Pristine to the small Pristine collection of 3 now. The 1990 Tiffany is just so darn close I had to include it.....

Fantastic cards. Out of curiosity, how do you store your slabbed cards? I still have't found an effective way. I was thinking of making my own wooden storage box.

Steve

The cheapies I just put in a card box without a top. The more valuable ones are in my big safe stacked on one of the shelves either in a few PSA stacks or a few BGS stacks.

Steve,
I have wanted to store my cards in nice wooden boxes for a long time. However, all the boxes out there are way too expensive. Let me know if you come up with some good plans for building a box, I'd still love to have some for my cards. Rick

Rick - I'll let you know if I come up with anything

Ross - Cool, I may pick up some of those super vault storage boxes. Those things must weigh a ton when they're filled.

Hi guys. I know this has been talked about before but I need more input and some clarification on the subject. Has it been established that the 1997 Topps Screen Plays card of Frank Thomas, with the BLUE film strip at the bottom which says PRIVATE SCREENING and FRANK THOMAS, is in fact a promo?

Yes George, all other promos in the set have the same design as well...I'm thinking Bernie Williams and Jim Thome if my memory serves.

Hate to dig this up but see my post here.

I won the auction with the Masterpieces patch auto. I contacted the seller and sent him the two links to the ones on worthpoint.com
He cancelled the auction and refunded my money and claimed to not know it was a fake.

I've been buying these cards for 3 years now and never noticed the word "Patch" behind the auto. I knew the football ones had the word patch to the right of the actual patch.

Thanks for all the opinions.

Any of you Thomas Collectors interested in this beast?
It is a litho of a full sized home plate, it is at an antique mall that is about 30 miles from me
Price was $11.95 + tax, so about $13
Shipping would be at cost, guessing $10ish, pick up would be about $7 for gas for me to drive down and back
So total would be about $30
Let me know if interested and I will stop back in there this week and pick up for you
