It had been awhile since I got anything Thomas related, but I got this for Christmas from my brother-in-law and mother-in-law. :D

Someone had asked me to post a few of my nicer cards. These were the ones I felt were worth showing the most.

I have had issues financially keeping up these last few years and after his retirement find myself strongly going after other things. So I am considering breaking the Thomas Super PC up. I hate to sell things and lose my A** on them. The thing that really killed it for me was the 1/1, then I took a few years off and with the 1/1 its impossible to recover. I also no its impossible to super collect now days. So here is my plan. I want to Super Collect the beginning until 1996. Then I will pick and choose the other things I PC after that. I will go after rainbows, some extreme patches, etc.

I think everything 1997 or later is gonna hit the market either FS or FT. So if anyone is really interested let me know. I really need advice on how to best move the base cards though. I may try to acquire every base card of his as well. That seems possible.

A few of you have already inquired about the 1/1 cards and the 1997 Leaf Collection cards. I am not sure what I will do with the 1997 Leaf yet but the 1/1s I am going to part ways with I think for sure. I have had them for over 10 years and am happy to move them to someone like this who will enjoy them rather than Ebay them to just anyone. Most the guys in this thread seem to be the top guys for Thomas around.

Wonder what the difference is to your 98 Score AP 1 of 1 and Lance's? Maybe the colors
but I am just assuming that its the way it was scanned? But maybe it's the colors?

According to the database there is only one version of the 1/1 for this card. Does he own it or was he using an old ebay scan to reference the card?

How could there be two of those? I was not aware that there are different colors......

Lance has a write up on his site about how this card was given to him and
that he would die before he parted with it......

I don't think there are different colors. I believe there were multiple replacements made, however. I think jaderock has 3 identical Brunell 1/1s from 98 Score.

Was that common back then to make replacements? Weren't these pack issued cards?

Don't know but I would think the 1 of 1 replacement would
not be stamped? I assume this is a lunch pail card ?
Pinnacle went belly up not long after these were printed..

I fear his card may be the mistake. He has it listed as a 1/1 card #254. According to Beckett the 1/1 version is card #PP147. That is in fact what my cards says on the back. PP147. I will scan the back later after I return home from taking my kids to the movies.
