Hmm. I wonder if there is 3 versions (regular, promo, team set). Here are mine:

Nolan. The UD hologram on the base cards are shaped like a home plate and the "promo", promo UD hologram is shaped like a diamond if that helps. What is the hologram shape of the Walmart cards?

The Wal Mart cards have a Diamond hologram too. Definitely, not a home plate hologram though. The 2 above ^^ I picked up individually, but I've bought sealed sets as well that have a diamond hologram (and the different card number)

Wow if that is card #1 too then how would one tell the difference between that loose and the card in the stuff Stuff?

I do to want to bust open the Tuff Stuuf but I had opened one before and sent that card to George so maybe he can post a scan.

Yeah Derek, that's why I asked for a scan of the card, I was confused as to why it was a promo.

Anybody ever seen a 1993 Leaf Assertive Scoreboard auto? I only ask cause Randy still needs it and I lack the same card for my set. I am also in need of Confident bu I have seen that one before.

Ross/Nolan/Derek. After seeing all of the scans and reading all of the comments I have to agree that the Thomas 1998 CC #1 card is not a promo but is the card from the Walmart set. I will be removing the scans from my website. As to scans from me. It's a long story. Let's just say I'm still working on it.

George I assure you the card came from a Tuff Stuff magazine, not a walmart set. I will dig the magazine out of storage this weekend if need be.

I have talked to Derek and he told me that he did indeed open several sealed Tuff Stuffs and there was a 1998 C.C. Thomas promo in each one. It can be seen on my web site with an explanation.

I believe the "promo" card from Tuff Stuff and the White Sox set are one and the same. Tuff Stuff was known to insert regular cards in their magazines in the 1990's instead of true promo cards. If your definition of a promo card includes the fact that it was inserted in a magazine, than that is fine. However, once taken out of the magazine, it is the same card as the team set card.

This seems accurate. I haven't got a chance to dig, but its does appear to be the same.

If I were you, and if you don't mind the additional space the magazines take up, I would leave those cards in the magazines to show they were promotional cards inserted into Tuff Stuff magazine.

Hey everyone, I am gonna sell my 2 1997 frank Thomas leaf collection pieces. I will give you guy a few hours to make offers but then I'll be hitting eBay with them. I need to make some funds for some stuff I need more.

I have a hat and batting glove. I can post scans shortly. The hat is solid black but the atting glove is very sweet with a piece of the emblem on it.

Here is the batting glove.
