Kind of a random question in regards to the Frank Thomas 1992 Donruss Super DK.........being that the Will Clark sold for around $600, what do you think Frank would sell for or possibly a Ripken Jr at auction?

I just got this in from UD as a replacement for a triple auto that they had been waiting on for a player to sign the card for 2 years..

I'm happy..

Very nice quad auto. Should sell pretty well. I don't think i've seen one at auction in close to a year now.

just butting in here, but does anybody here need a 2003 Topps Tribute Triple Threads jersey card of Thomas/Konerko/Ordonez or a 2004 Absolute Team Quad jersey of Thomas/Konerko/Ordonez/Lee #d 007/100? Figured I'd ask here first before I listed it. :)

Was coming here to post about this card Randy.

I bet this one gets more than a few people. They even used a prime jersey card instead of a regular jumbo jersey.
I wonder what it looked like before.

So you think that it is a fake patch?

Yes, I think it's fake.
No proof, just a gut feeling & what looks to be a little damage around the top right of the window.

Always look at a sellers other items...his only other 3 auctions are suspect patches as well IMO.

^ Nince platinum!

I don't have much of anything new. I did manage to snag this auto cheap though.

Other than that, this is really the only other Frank I've purchased lately. There are a few 90's inserts that I hope to win. Maybe I'll have some new scans in a week or so.

Do any of you guys need a 1997 Donruss Preferred SAMPLE tin? I have no use for it, PM if you do.

Thanks Jackson, I'm good to go on that one too. Let me know if you find the blue tin with gold foiling though!

--------------

I wanted to share a card in the collection of a great autographed rookie collector named Mike Navarro.

The actual card was once part of my collection, but Mike was looking for a copy at a decent price to have sent out to be autographed. I had planned to do the same, but having just purchased the PSA 9 NNOF at the time, I needed to recoup some funds and pushed the idea off.

Anyway, here it is, from last Saturday's signing in Illinois.

  Man, he beat me to it. Takes some balls to have a real copy signed. Would have been nice if Frank would have taken an extra second & signed it atleast half-way neat.

I think the condition of this card warranted the signing. I do believe what was a $250 investment has increased in value. Now, a near mint or better example would probably be card suicide.

edited to add:

Frank's signature has gone to hell, we all know this. I would not have this calibre card signed without being face to face and paying the inscription fee to have him sign his full name.

If he refused, then I probably wouldn't have it signed.
