Randy: Yeah, I'm somewhat close to Baltimore. Maybe 3 hours give or take.

Jesse: You suck! :D Man I wish I would have stopped procrasinating & went to see a game. Too late now. ::facepalm::
Honestly, I was booking tickets/plane to see him play against Chicago when he was released. I would have been beyond pissed had I already bought the tickets.

No kidding.
The first time was a fluke. I was on a Babe Ruth team playing outside Vancouver, BC, and our billets took us down, and it just so happened that they were playing the Sox.
The last 2 lined up on our August long weekend so we took advantage and saw a game.

Sure looks that way. Hope that no one buys it for that price.

Recent mail items. I had to do a double and triple take on this darn sample card on the top, as it is so hard to distinguish from Frank's jersey. The seller had it listed as the normal card. Not sure how rare it is, but it happens to be one of those sample items not listed in beckett.

Despite not having "sample" described in the title or body of the listing itself, the auction still received a fair amount of attention. Nice win!

“I’m not going to call it anger. It was more like ‘Aha!’ I’m killing myself in the weight room and these guys are hitting the ball further than me. Now I know. I’m not going to hold it against anyone, but man I did a hell of a job keeping up with those guys. That’s the way I look at it. What would Frank Thomas have been like if he was on that stuff? It’s one of those things that I’m damn proud of. I did it the right way and I don’t have to worry about cameras or the media looking for me, asking me questions because I’m here to answer them all.”

What makes you say that? Do you think its a fake? I thought $400 is a good price for the NNOF. Just curious.

That would be a pretty high price for a raw copy that has some damage to the edges and not so good top to bottom centering. I bought a raw copy for $330 about 2 years ago, and lucked out when it was graded 8.5 by BGS. It had a bit better centering, and the edges were not damaged. I don't like seeing someone win an auction and then thinking that they can get more with a BIN. Seems kind of backward.

Hey Wade,
What I think he means is the card ended at auction a week ago for $130 less.
Fake? I think it's a legit copy. I looked at it for about 20 minutes thinking something wasn't right about it, but I think it's just the scan that made me feel that way.

Anyone notice the alarming large number of Miley Cyrus auctions that pop up with your daily Big Frank searches?

These are homemade autograph cards for both the AL and NL prospects that were selected to the teams, as well as a pamphlet from the Luncheon.
