I told Chris Olds in an email I didn't have any desire to have my name attached to the article, only that an accurate account of the work that was done. I figured I was typing to "deaf" eyes, but fortunately, I didn't expect anything less.

My only disappointment is that I fear I'll never finish my original goal, which was to locate a copy of each of the errors.

Still looking for football photo

This seems like a good place to let everybody know I'm still looking for a good quality photo of Frank Thomas in an Auburn football uniform so that I can make a '55-Topps style All-American card. Anybody who can get me the photo I need will get three of the custom cards. PM if you can help.

Got this in today. The picture doesn't really do it justice, definitely now in the top 10 of my favorite Thomas cards I own.

Wade: Great news if it's true. If you're messin' w/ me I'm gonna have to kill ya. ;)

Ross: That sucks man. Is that the guy who pulled those NNOFs in the thread?

aekdb535: Looks like a nice clean copy. Congrats

edit: My computer is down again. Ordered a new one which will be here on Sunday. Won't be on much until then.

Nice Auburn Issue! Send that bad boy off to BGS or PSA. I'm going to send them to BGS from now on until I can get a 9.5.

Chad, it is the guy who pulled the errors.

I promise I'm not lying. I found out from another collector who forwarded me an email that he recieved. I'm down at the beach currently with no Internet just my iPhone. I get back this weekend and will post all the important flyers etcetera. I think big Frank I schedule to be there on Saturday, which I think is the 7th!?

Dumbfounded on that becket article!

Nice Auburn card.

Oh, and one more thing about this years national, Thomas, Gregg Olson, and Bo Jackson will all be in attendance...so those of you with a copy of the auburn hof ceremony from this year it's a good op to get it signed. Just a thought. I was actually thinking oftaking my frank Thomas day tickets and having them signed lol.

I'll post when I get back home. Happy collecting guys!!!!

So what is this card? I didn't know what it was, but my snipe didn't even go off so I assume it's pretty tough with the attention it got.

Ross. I believe it is the 1997 Score Reserve Collection card # 508 with a HR prefix?

I think its a Showcase? I have one of McGwire I have only seen once before mine. I'll have to dig it out and look for it.

The Showcase cards have a metallic-foil background and the Reserve Collection has a textured ray-like silver foil background on front and a Reserve Collection underprint on the back.

I figured this card would make its way on here. I lost when I entered my bid of $29.99 during the very last moments. I look forward to learning more about this card.

Definitely, the "Reserve Collection" from Series 2 Score and a very underrated and rare set. You can tell by the distinctive textured look to the background. The Will Clark of it sold for over $50 last time it was listed. And I still need mine. Not supposed to be very rare, but I've only seen 1 on ebay since I actively added it to my need list. Most collectors probably don't even know they need it, seeing how confusing Score product was from that year.
