Did USA go with all young guys on purpose?? Did the old vets just choose not to play? I dont watch much hockey so I dont know many of the names.... but they are doing quite well so far.

Nope they had a selection camp, just like the other countries and all the old guys either didn't make the team or where not even invited to try out. Guys like Modano, Tkachuk and Chelios.

They are all past their prime. Hopefully the youth movement pays off not just this year, but for years to come.

They are saying the US has more role players than Canada, but not quite sure about that. Otherwise, Canada would have Jeff Carter playing over a handful of players on the team.

Brodeur should have never started this game after the game he had against Switzerland. I really thought they would go back to Luongo and let Fleury back him up but they made the mistake of letting Brodeur start and it bit them.

what a great game that was. Brooks Orpik did a fantastic job of controlling Crosby and the rest of the defense held strong throughout the game especially down the stretch in the third period. I wonder what Luongo said to Kessler in the handshake line.

Great game by the US and Canadian teams! Very very exciting! Congrats to both teams and especially the USA! This is what Olympic hockey is all about!
