Hopefully he will be up the rest of the year....but what do we do with Bill Hall....maybe something we should have done a long time ago...bench him!

SWEET!!!!!! I picked the wrong time to unload my Gamel parallels I pulled in 2006. I sold last June when they were hot.... but I should have held.

Sweet! OK, but now:

1st error: T-minus 5..4...

I hear that. I am honestly biting my nails right now hoping it just doesn't happen in his first game. So far so good....

And seriously....BRADEN LOOPER. 1 hit through 5 and no K's. I guess we just have some great mojo right now.

this game got interesting fast. Nothing like 3 errors to let a team back into the game.

I assume we all noticed Gamel's trademark crazy-ass throw for an error.

Anyone see the defensive play by him? Looks like he's got range and a gun, so the errors are probably just mental problems which are fairly easibly cured with some decent coaching, also anyone see the diving play in left by Braun??? Damn...

I hope Gamel will be a stud. On his defense though I was at the game yesterday watching batting practice. He bobbled a couple of grounders in BP and throws weren't awful but not great. I hope that gets better.

I was actually trying to pick his stuff up a month or so ago but sadly it looked like I had waited too long and prices were already too high.Looks like I will just have to wait out the storm.

It's unfortunate and ironic that his first start came on the day we found out Weeks is out for the season. Too bad Gamel can't play 2B.

Braunie's catch was unbelievable, btw.

Yeah, but his rolling over on his back afterwords was unnecessary. Things like that and his "eyeing" the pitcher while trotting around the bases are going to make him unpopular with other teams. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Braun is good.Don't get me wrong. But he is cocky as hell. You can tell by the way he acts.He pulled one on the astros a while back and showed our pitcher up after a homer he hit.A lot of people around baseball don't like him from what I have read. They ought to put him back at 3rd base to teach him some humility.Last time I checked he wasn't so "badass" as an infielder.Maybe that will cool his jets a bit eh?

Gamel just got himself an IBB. How's that for getting a rep early?

Why in the WORLD did Bill Hall start tonight- he hasnt has a hit in days - dont know if he has gotten any bat on the ball to be honest and Gamel doesnt start.. If he can hit.. he should be in there against Oswalt especially if he is going to play thsi weekend against the Twinkies

I heard a theory today that I can get with-

Hall is on his last legs. Gamel has come up and might be here to stay if: when he bats DH this weekend vs/ the Twins, he tears it up, he'll be moved into a platoon with Hall. Macha will get to pass the buck, saying the bat can't be denied (even though he all but PROMISED Hall was the guy, like Hall's ******* Rex Grossman or something), and Gamel will eventually take over. Hall then gets traded or becomes an over-paid bench player.

I just had a similiar conversation yesterday - basically that if Gamel's presence doesn't light a fire under Hall in the next couple of weeks, they're going to dump him for whatever they can get - even if it means eating some of his contract. Melvin's been busy this week churning the lower end of the roster, but he's obviously out there talking to people. With them 11 over .500 at the quarter pole and attendance as strong as it is, they're going to be buyers again this year.
