I ripped 72 boxes. Here is my take.

THe autos sell really well, the GU sell well, The plates and blacks all sell well....Sets are still solid at $80, you get 6 sets per case or so. I got 20 sets out of my 3 cases.

The negative, the golds have REALLY dropped off, which really hurts the value.

Also, the biggest negative in my eyes outside of gold prices dropping is the breaking and sorting takes FOREVER. Sorting 5,000 + cards per case is excruciating, trust me. I spend probably 15-18 hours of sorting for my three cases, and I think I sort fairly fast.

I thought about buying more, but to me the golds were what would guarantee profit. I still think if you bust in bulk, there is no way you will lose money.

Jim, did you really buy ALL the rest?

I think the golds will go back up....there are going to be people trying to put that set together. The Hope Diamond from Topps Update last year are similar - they died off immediately after release and now are in demand again.

I'd be in on a player break!

(well, as long as the price was low enough that I wouldn't feel bad not getting my player.)

When all is said and I done, I think I will. I have 18 plates and 18 blacks, along with 150 or so golds ending on Sunday. That should tell the tale. Also have about 10 sets left as well. Didn't kill it, but I will be in the green.

I tend to agree with this. The market will flood for another couple of weeks, then they will dry up. Everything of mine that doesn't sell, I will put in my store. Or, if you are interested we could work out a package deal if you want them all?

Are you a fan of the low end/mid level in a store Matt? Does that do well for you?

Typically no, I don't. I rarely have anything in there outside of prospects, but it will be the best way for me to move these, and hopefully the easist way.
