I betcha if edgar gets wsmvp, that will put him over the 100 mark, and only being 35 with potentially several good years left, he will definetely deserve consideration, now that he will have a ring and a wsmvp (IF he gets wsmvp) under his belt...

i disagree, even though the HOF becomes more of a joke with each passing year (Dawson, Rice, etc) i dont see any "draw power" in Renteria (thats the only reason that Dawson and Rice were put in, to bring people to Cooperstown to spend money)

Renteria needs close to 3,000 hits, if not over 3,000 hits to get into the HOF. And he's going to need a solid 4-5 years to get there.

His postseason career certainly helps and he certainly is on the brink.
