Very cool story and sounds like a tremendous time.

P.S. Glad you cut your hair, this ain't the 80's and you ain't the frontman for Whitesnake anymore!!!!!!

Great story, thanks for sharing. I have a 13 year old boy and what your daughter did, can't really be put into words. I can just imagine how it made you feel. Congrats on the day and on having a great daughter, you're obviously raiser her right.

Awesome experience, thanks for sharing it with us!

A guy pulled one of those before lunch and man, he acted like he pulled the Griffey buyback. Everyone was laughing it up and he had me sign it - pretty funny.

Here are some more pictures:

I figured this is where I would bat if I were amongst "Murder's Row":

This was part of the display case of the auto'd balls of all the Yankees. I don't think you'll see too many Munson sweet spot autos:

That is such an awesome story! Thanks a ton for sharing. Being a huge Yankee fan, I feel like I kind of took Jeter for granted for a bunch of years. He was just always there, always doing his thing so consistently that I began to just expect it. I've really started to realize over the last two years just how special he is. He is a true role model and class act in every sense of the word. Congrats to you and I hope this has given you and your daughter a day you'll both never forget!

PS Any more on Mariano? He always seemed like a total class act too. How about Posada? Did he talk to or sign for any of the kids?

I'm a Red Sox fan, but Jeter gets how to be a superstar. His staying through the entire All Star game last year and signing on the dugout in the extra innings was an image I will always remember.

I totally agree. I'll never forget that.

I mean he has to at least take note that it's not everyday these kids get to come to Yankee Stadium and actually talk and hang out amongst them, he had to at least think something was going on. thanks for sharing the story/experience.

Not to defend A-Rod, but there are kids on the field during batting practice all the time, if not every game in Oakland.

How am I supposed to keep hating Jeter when I hear stories like this?

That sounds like you two had an amazing day. Thanks for sharing.
