I wrote seller and ebay x2. I gave ebay the website address for the 2 cards so that if they care even a little they will at least come here and view the 2 cards and hopefully stop this guy. I told him I would do everything at my disposal to get him thrown off ebay. Wonder why it was a private auction?

well one person is 780.00$'s happier

2009 Upper Deck 1989 Buyback Auto Ken Griffey Jr RC /89 (fake one)
Winning bid: US $780.00

The real one sold for $940, so a lot of bidders don't know the difference. Ebay will no longer let you warn bidders and they won't stop the auctions. Beckett & UD know about the problem and won't do anything.

I think that they are using stickers off cheap autos. They have figured out how to remove them without damage. There hasn't been any order to the numbers on the fake ones. Some fake Griffey autos have had the hologram and COA from the Griffey 95 SP promo auto.

it be nice if they had a working data base :o ::facepalm::

I bet they do. They just don't want to have problems with all the fakes, they can't admit that there is a problem with holograms. In 2000 or 2001 an UD employee verified some numbers for me, I gave him the numbers and he told me what card they were put on. When all the fakes started in around 2004 all of a sudden they had lost their database.

Edit, seems that they told us that they would have numbers on file,

Just doing some organizing for a change and I'd like to thank Bruce for being able to COMPLETE my 2004 SP Game Used Jersey Patch and Auto Patch Set. I had all 11 BUT Bruce allowed me to have the "missing 12th card" the one with the Hawaii Logo left upper corner, logo patch, Auto and "All-Star Patches". Since it's a /20, there are not many around and in fact Bruce showed me my first one, this one. Thanks Bruce.

Also Bruce, tons of doubles now and I'm close to makiing another insert list for you to look at.

I've sold off some of my higher end cards (about 45 cards in all) to help pay for the insert collection. After about 6 months I've got to tell you, I enjoy the inserts more. They are simple, no patches or autos so they stand on their own. Some are cool as hell.

Anyway, I'm working on the photobucket again and trying to clean it up, add the cards about 60% I haven't posted,
And I moved all the sold ones to the "Sold folder" at the bottom. That way they can still be seen but not mixed in with cards I have in hand.

Anyone interested to peak in at the slow progress link is

Did you get that one the other day that just had "24" on it as his inscription?

Hi
Turns out I had it already and just forgot about it cause I hadn't realized there were 4 variations (not counting the /3 one).
I just bought the Griffey Sr one as well because its only the 2nd card I have with and inscription "BIG RED MACHINE". The other card is a Griffey Sr. card too.
