I think this was the best that Fleer got as far as inserts - like 95-97 Pinnacle. They all had great designs, with the holofoil/refractor finish.

First time poster here, long time lurker. I finally popped open my safe that hase been closed for around 6 years looking for some gold coins, and came across a bunch of my old cards. Was curious what someone could tell me about this card. I have hundreds of cards that I cant remember anything about. I know growing up I collected tons of Griffey and Frank Thomas cards. Im just trying to get some back ground on some of the stuff I have.

If that "LP" along the side is gold, which it appears to be, this is a 1996 Leaf Preferred Gold Press Proof. It's a parallel of the regular set, and they were inserted 1:48 packs (with a stated print run of 500 copies of each.) I've seen them sell for $15 (on the low end) and up to $75-$80, but I'd say $30ish is a fair price to expect for it.

I just could find zero on it. Not really looking to sell just curious about them. It is gold on the side for sure though, and I have the regular on in a small case beside it. Just was trying to find out about it, and will be looking at some of the others. This one was just in one of those big screw down cases, and it was so loooooong ago. Thx for the quick reply man. I will reach out to you guys some more when I dig deeper.

I was watching this 1989 Heads Up earlier when it was around $250.. thought about bidding on it and had to do something else..

I see it sold for $698

I looked at both auctions.. the PSA number is different by 1.. I wonder how many he sent in..

There was a Mike Schmidt as well that he was selling that was going for big as well..

10 have been PSA'd. Not sure if any were resubmitted to skew #s but as of now 1 Authentic, 4 4's, 2 5's, 1 6, and 2 8's.
