Not a Griffey collector, but I figured you guys could appreciate the card. It stinks to have bid against you crazy Griffey collectors, glad I have this one out of the way.

No, I didn't notice it. But that could be because I no longer collect game used or auto cards. Just getting too expensive these days, so I am just collecting base, parallels, and non GU/Auto inserts. I am sure it was awesome though!!

I hate to see a Griffey / Jeter auto go that low- WHAT was the guy thinking? Obviously he either didn't know what he had or he needed fast money or this is a reflection of what I've been saying TOO MANY AUTOS OUT THERE AND TONS OF GRIFFEY / JETERS.

I'm almost beginning to think our card values will increase if Griffey doesn't sign and retires. At least he stops signing zillions of more autos. Retirement should mean less autos. :mrgreen:

At least find someone besides Jeter to put with Griff on a dual auto card, There must be 50 different ones already. :?:

With Bruce's help I counted 13 different auto jersey 2004 SP game used jerseys / autos from 2004. 13 includes 2 different 1/1 cards and 2 with variations of one Reds and one Mariners, KG and KG1.

I now have 8/13 including one of two 1/1 cards in this series. There's another one out there somewhere.

I now have 8 of the 13 auto / patch cards
1. APP-KG premium patches Reds (47/50)
2. AFN-KG famous nicknames Reds (29/50)
3. ASN-KG significant numbers Reds (10/50)
4. ASN-KG1 significant numbers Mariners (04/50)
5. AASD-KG all-star patches dual Reds & Mariners (07/10)

7. ALTD-KG 1/1 logo threads horizontal dual (1/1)

I think Bruce has one of every auto patch card from this series, except the 1/1's - great achievement.

I'm going to try and duplicate his accomplishment. Five more with the 1/1 left out there, Four more if I never get the other 1/1.

Good luck brinn! I wish i had some cash, ylaf has listed some NICE cards! Unfortunately I had to have my cat's teeth pulled (yes you read it right) yesterday and that cost ONLY 2300 bucks. Needless to say, I wont be buying much in the next month or two....

But $2300 on cat teeth? I'm a pediatrician, no cat experience, but I'll do it for $500

When we used to list an item, if YLAF would bid on it, we knew we would get top $$$..

Once in awhile I see he has Griffey's listed..

Thanks for the help. I do have the Griffey / Arod Card and he is offering it at a very fair price, I think. They've gone up to $900 but of course "times are tough". Cat teeth and all. :lol:

I knew who this guy was and am aware he spent alot on Griffey cards in the past, then stopped and now is letting some go. Hopefully I can nab some from him I need if he's going in a different direction.

I've got a couple Griffeyv Finest Refractors. 1 is a mystery finest with Cruz Jr. & Griffey, the other is a split screen refractor with Griffey & Arod(only one side is a ref. I don't remember which).

I offered them a couple times to magicpapa, but he never responed. I assume he doesn't need them. If anyone else does, let me know. I'll have to find them, but I know I've got them. I think the split screen got peeled, so think of that

In 2006 I also pulled both Griffey auto parallels out of Ovation I think it was. Red ink and Blue ink. Those will be harder to get since I sold my only other griffey auto in the summer. 06 Ultimate signature 3 Griffey/F.Thomas/Bagwell
