Someone on another site grabbed this black printing plate and I am stumped. I ran through my Griffey's and didn't see anything other than one card from the late 80's called "the kid" that used that pic but that isn't the card. Seems like it is late 80's early 90's promo cards. Any info would be appreciated.

Hey everyone, I am new to FCB. I saw this thread, and being a fellow Griffey collector I wanted to say hello. You all have some very impressive collections, and I am very excited to talk Griffey cards with you all!

Welcome I see a couple cards in your wantlist that I would love too.
That stupid Toy R Us mini is going to a thorn in my rear for years and all
because I was too cheap to bid on the one on Ebay a couple years ago.....
Don't know why the 90 Cadaco disc's are so tough but they are.
Did you check with tpiechal here he might have a couple of those uncluding
the 90 Cadaco disc?

Is this the TRU card you are looking for?

Hey Jack Straw, yeah I hear you with the Toys R Us Mini. I could have sworn I saw one on Ebay not too long ago, but I missed out on the bid... and I believe it sold for $10... ouch. Same with the Cadaco disks, they are difficult as well. I have not checked with tpiechal, is he a good resource for Griffey cards? I apologize if that is a dumb question, still learning the ropes around here. Just out of curiosity, are you the same Jack Straw from the CU forums? If so, I have been looking at your Griffey Posts for a while, great informational posts! You have helped me track down a bunch of cards I did not know existed. Unfortunately now, in terms of Griffey, CU forum is a graveyard, not much chatter over there. I am glad I made the switch over.

Hey KLARNOLD, I believe that is Griffey's normal Toys R' Us card. The one that Jack Straw and myself are looking for is a mini version of that same card, which I believe is cut from the 1990 Toys R Us case? I might need clarification on that.

Speaking of difficult to find 1990 Griffey cards, do any of you have any information on his 1990 PlayMakers Prints? I have yet to even see what this card looks like. Any information would be very helpful, thanks in advance!

Kevin that is the regular issued card the one we want is the case box mini?
Tim is a great source for oddball stuff and information and I don't know
anything about the playmakers print but Tim probably does.
Nice 97 Score Reserve those are tough!
