I have heard arouind 30 of each. Not confirmed but I don't see them around often.
I am kind of mad Ebay allows this kind of stuff, I think once you list it you have to sell
it.

I would will add that Burbank has the Reds team card (the one you have to mail in) but not sure if Griffey is on it?
It would be another neat Griffey card to add to my
ever growing want list.

Those look like nice cards, I wonder who is responsible for those auctions ending early.

I got these in the mail today. Mail in cards for the 2005 Playoff Prestige cards.
I would love one of those Griffey cards but I have yet to see one for sale.

Hi all, would any of you wise people know a buyer / bidder who bids on ebay on high end griffey cards with the anyonomous id of j**n (2917) with red star thereafter?

A friend of the seller, has called me about the card, telling me this person offered the seller of the 2000 auto, patch, bat card, hand numbered to 24 in blue sharpie, $1600. Don't know if that's true but it would help me in the future deal with this "friend of the seller" when he calls me about the next Griffey card. I of course declined. If I can find out if j**n (2917) really did any such thing I'll know the seller's honesty. I doubt that the offer was real but thought one of you probably know who the alleged offer came from (which the "friend" claims was declined by the way)

The link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3D1&_rdc=1

and the item # is Item number: 310147837797

Thanks

Regarding the Beckett authorized, black ink fraudulent Griffey RC, that I own, I'm still haggling over the card with Beckett to get my money back.
Their biggest fear is exposure of the card, so I wrote them yesterday, that I would sell the card as a beckett authorized card on ebay and post the scan here on the forum (as I've been asked to do) if they do not deal with this in 1 week.

I feel since they authorized one of the most popular high end buybacks of a very popular player, they should care enough about their reputation to compensate me and keep the card from public view.

Their answer was very fast hold the card, they are working something out. We'll see.

I wanted you all to know in case I have to list this card that its my best chance of putting pressure on them to get it off ebay. I also will post it on this forum at that time, but I think I've already posted it in the past and you've seen it.

I'm working hard to get organized enough to give John links to my Griffey Collection, to share with all of you, but seems like life is kinda crazy of late. Will do asap

This is something that I have wondered about for awhile. BGS and PSA are supposed to be experts at IDing ang grading cards. Do they have any liability for their misidentification. Steve paid $3000 for a card that is worthless, could he sue them for it? Might be a good trial case. Even if they won it would be publicized that they do not back their service.

I won't speak for BGS or PSA but I believe its book not what you paid?
He paid 3 grand for a raw card then submitted to BGS or was it already in a BGS holder?

It was already in a BGS holder. Now they admit that the card is fake.

I wish that I had a few cheap buybacks. Would find out how easy the hologram stickers can ge removed.
