Hey guys, i think it was mentioned briefly earlier, but how are you all doing on your "2008 goals"?? Back on BMB we set goals for 2008...mine was 50 on card autos by the end. Not quite the end yet, but looks as if i will fall short I've got 42 right now (45 if you count sweet spots), 1 pending as a redemption, 1 paid for on ebay (thanks roy!) and one more that i am trying for tonight (bronze 01 ultimate to finish the rainbow....no competition, right???) That would make 45 or 48 if you count SS....pretty close, but that would be it for me...didnt expect to buy a house, a car, and get 16/20 immortal inscriptions!! So although i didnt meet my goal, i cant complain.

Great maildays everyone! A lot of nice autos.

Roy- That Fleer RC auto is just plain sick. Amazing pick up.

Bad- Very nice cards you've been picking up. The SPs look nice together.

Bruce- Awesome pick ups for you too. I have always liked the eVolve jersey/autos. Of course the game jersey auto isn't bad either.

Magic- Nice additions. The Chirography and the bear are cool. Glad you like the helmet.

John- Great picks ups. You were right there. Of course, that car is pretty sweet too. A house is always a nice pick up as well as the Immortal Inscriptions for your set. I almost reached all of my collecting goals for 2008. I wanted to get to 50 Griffey autos (didn't matter on-card or whatever) and I made it to 80. I picked up a total of 58 autos this year (I had 22 when I made that goal). I wanted to get back to 1966 on my Pete Rose collection. I made it to 1968. I wanted to move my Adam Dunn collection and I did. I wanted to add more high end to my collection and I think I did that as well. All in all, I think 2008 was a great year for my collection.

i read an article that a few teams are interested in griffey other than seattle, does anyone know who they are?

Just wanted to let everyone know I reached the half way point today in my quest to get one of each of the KG numbers 1-100, in the /3, Upper Deck American Hero Griffey Auto cards. Got #50 today.

Its been a long haul but I'm going after the other 50 cards (KG #'s). Any help from any of you has always been appreciated and will continued to be appreciated in the future. I never thought it would take this long to get 50/100 and the next 50 may take a lot longer as now I won't need 50% of the cards I find.

Rob, everything seems to be quite about Griffeys future, have not seen anything.
Steve B., Man it is taking forever to round those up. But I guess you knew that going in. Congrats on getting to 50%.

Those sure look nice, only the second one that I remember seeing. All of the first pitch autos are short printed, but this one seems to be really rare.
