Chronological order is the only way to go with no sub albums.

Anyone have an extra one of these? I don't want to buy the whole set for one card.

Hey John - I definitely have an extra for you. Actually two, so I'd be happy to send one your way. Think I still have your address...

This is another one for the variation registrar:
These Topps Traded Checklists actually come in red & blue backs!
Does anybody know the source of the difference? I think it might be hobby (red) vs. retail (blue), but not sure.

Here is the back of the blue back Griffey:

Thanks alot! Hey any chance we can get all us together and do a Griffey site like onionrings Mcgwire?

I'm a big fan of Joe's site, but I think Juangone.com is even better. Look at the list they have!

http://www.juangone.com/collection.php? ... &year=1997

Their webmaster, Freddie, at one point was toying with making sites like the Gonzalez one for other players and charging monthly access fees, but nothing much came of it.

In short, I think it's possible, but it's a big time commitment!

ANY COMMENTS ON THIS CARD ON EBAY?

Just wondered if anyone had any good or bad comments about this card auto /100 on ebay. I also wonder that since there were 2 releases of 10,000, was there another /100 auto'd with the other set? :?:

Guess I wonder what any of you would think of this from a collecting standpoint, "gotta have", "would buy maybe for right price", or "forget it"

BTW, this is the scan of the COA the seller sent

2004 SP GU Game Used KEN GRIFFEY JR MLB Logo Patch 1/1

I'm very excited to have obtained the 2004 Logo Threads 1/1 Griffey Jr Card on ebay. I now have FOUR cards of the 8 card 1/1 set.
As all of you probably know, there were 4 autographed and 4 logo only 1/1 cards released in the set. The 2 auto, logo, patch cards and the 2 logo cards match with the only differences being Griffey as a Red or as a Mariner.

As soon as I have this card in hand, I will repost all 4 together, as they represent half of the 8 cards in existance. I never thought I would get 4 and feel quite lucky. Now to track down #5 :D

As to price, its private, but I probably overpaid- But how could I let that one get away? Of course I didn't pay anything near the buy it now asking price, but it was alot. This set of 4 cards is one of the highlights of my collection, right up there with the four 1/1 artifact apparel cards and the Epic 4 barrel card.

The card can be seen on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380169267063

Just wanted to share my excitement with others who could appreciate the new card and its meaning. I certainly can't tell my wife
Thanks
Steve B

Thanks to Joe's site I can now finally put this card to rest.
2001 CapCure Ad Card :D
98CAPTURETHECURE.jpg
I got to thinking when I left the house after I posted this and the actual correct year was 1999 and not 2001.
Sorry for any confusing. BTW these CapCure cards are a bear to find. Griffey has a 1999,2000,2001 and 2002 CapCure cards.
All except the above ones were issued on sheet form 2000 and 2002 were perforated and 2001 was a two sided card sheet.

I am still hunting for any mariners patch on-card auto...do you know if they ever made one?

Hi,
Since you posted the ebay card, with the Mariners Uniform and MLB Logo, I'll do the same with the other 3 cards which are in my photobucket album, I'm trying to find time to work on.

The web adress for the album is in my signature - its http://s199.photobucket.com/albums/aa281/srbrinn1/Griffey Collection/
I've just begun the project with the 1/1's.

The other 1/1 card with Griffey in a Reds Uniform and the MLB Logo (the compliment to the one on ebay) is

The 1/1 card with Griffey in Mariners Uniform, auto, MLB Logo and Mariners Jersey patch is

The remaining card is the 1/1 with Griffey in a Reds uniform and Auto, MLB Logo and Jersey Patch. Interestingly, this card has the MARINERS patch like the Mariner's card, not a Reds patch that you'd expect. I assume it was a mistake, or they just had Mariners Jersey patches that day.

Anyway, the 4 cards (with the one you posted) make up 2 complimentary sets which is pretty cool.

Very sweet cards....shouldn't the logo, if off a mariners uniform, be mariners colors?
Anyway, VERY NICE! That has to be his "BEST" ever card, some may prefer crusades red, but I would take that!
