He spends more on transactions that do not occur on ebay than he does on ebay. Just think about that for a minute. He's probably one of the easiest people to work with as long as you deliver what is described.

I have said it before...it really doesn't bother me too much. There are guppies in this hobby and then there are great whites or in Wossa's case ....Megaladon's.I am also not necessarily convinced he is anyone we would even know if we saw him. Some of the richest people are not celebrities or athletes or actors.Hell....it could be Donald Trump for all we know.In my mind...he'd be just the type to start up a baseball card investment portfolio.Especially on cards that are 1/1's and you can name the price on later.

I just think that he doesn't have to hide.Someone who has that kind of money could very easily do whatever they wanted and its not like any of us would be capable of finding out where he lives and pulling some ninja crap and breaking in and stealing everything.Someone who has that kind of cash is most likely has a nice security system in place(ala scarface) and probably even lives in a gated community with a security guard who drives around.Besides...if anyone ever stole the cards they would be hard pressed to move them.

The only thing that does kinda irk me is the people who do know him or have spoken to him. They seem more than gleeful that they know who he is and won't share it.Not sharing something is totally fine and I am glad that they have the integrity to uphold their end of the secret but trying to let on you have a secret and then not sharing is just childish. So basically what I am saying is...if you know who he is great. But keep your trap closed and don't play games about it.Or make 100 page threads about it either.

just b/c he's not openly posting his id on fcb or playing the bling bling look @ my bucket game on fcb etc doesn't mean he's 'hiding.' i know many collectors w/some very nice cards who don't put them in their sigs and who don't 'out' themselves on message boards. not everyone lives to show off their blingy cards.

maybe wossa has seen the endless threads about him + doesn't want to endure the same spastastic omg he signed on omg send us a pic w/your name on a piece of paper date stamped omg let me pm him omg show us your bucket etc. that phil hughes endured on bmb. if i were wossa (which lol several fcbers have asked me), i'd maintain a low profile as well.

i'm not sure what you want people who know him to disclose and i'm not sure how joebob posting yah i know wossa yay he works @ ___, lives on___, his name is ____, and his # is ___ would really do for anyone here. if you have cards he wants, he'll let you know, as will most other high end buyers. if he wants to meet you, he'll let you know. i've dealt w/him + it was nice, but i've dealt w/a lot of high end buyers on/off ebay, so it's not some great game, secret or thrill to me. it's not gloating that i know that personal info about wossa, but i don't feel the need to share it. then again, i don't feel the need to share lisu's info (omg have you seen HER cards? wowza) or info of anyone else i know from fcb, beckett, etc. just seems kind weird for someone to hand out someone's personal info to strangers on the 'net. not like anyone here's married to wossa or has seen his superfractor covered bed.

frankly, i was more thrilled to meet MOOSE in person @ hollywood park- 1 of my fav hs players, very nice guy, signed a ball for me, + oh yes, sexay. it was a nice 'fan' moment + more interesting to me than saying omg i just sold a __ to ___ and far more interesting than spending time looking up what joebob spent on ebay.

i will 2nd that, as made one of my easiest sales ever with him.
he saw scan, paid, i sent card, no questions asked.
Super nice guy, who is probably just like anyone else, although
i was kind of able to figure out he may work in the film industry,
but no, not robin williams.

wossa lays on the bed covered in red refs + kisses each 1

wossa kisses you while you both kiss the clay super

What if we both just swoon over the card like it was a Tiger Beat cover with Joey Lawrence on the cover in the 80's? I think that would be more tasteful.

I'd rather a Lil' Papi Calendar...... At least a mass produced one, not just the one my fiancee made......

See...you are not helping or even understanding what I said.I never even said I needed to know.Honestly...it could be GOD for all I know.It doesn't bother me.Nobody is asking for personal info. And if he did have a bucket up...unless he has a nice Bagwell stash I would most likely never bother looking.

I don't have any cards he wants and if I did that would be tough luck.I don't sell.I also have no wishes to meet him unless he is Jeff Bagwell and if so...its too late...I already have.Whoops.

You are also playing the same game everyone else that knows or has spoken to him is.I guess for you guys its like some sort of exclusive club?Just like the popular kids in school I guess?Who cares?

I am sure Chris could lay some ground rules if he ever did want to talk.If people got out of control...they could be banned. But he or she could come in here and talk cards and via Chris and the other Mods he could be left the hell alone.Nobody can force him to make a link to a bucket or anything.People can talk to him and know they are talking to him without it going sour.Like I said...a few rules in place and whats the problem?

But hey...he may choose to do what he wants. It really doesn't affect me.Now you prospectors...it may curl your toes but whatever.

The thing I don't get(not directed at you either HOFAUTOS) is what would we do if we did know who he was?Nobody can force him to do anything.Nobody can force him to talk or show anything. Its nuts. Its like we have the power of God on this board  .Or at least we worry people.

Frankly, to me, it is NBD.
Someone that has a little money, and that spends a lot on cards, most of which don't interest me...so what.
If you want to see his cards, just use the goofball...there are plenty of more interesting collections in my mind.
If I want to see nice cards, I can search ebay and see lots of cards that interest me more.
There are some really awesome collections to see on NET54 or in the auction houses too.
I really don't get what is so intriguing? To me, nothing personal WOSSA if you do read this, those superfractors all kind of look the same after awhile, and probably 95% of them will never pan out to be anyone that anyone cares about 10 years from now....now Dmitri' Youngs collection will turn my head...

Too bad minndc lost that Killebrew. If any of you were aware of his Killebrew collection, you would bow to him, it's seriously one of the best collections out there.

If Wossa joined FCB (btw, beefycheddar has stated that Wossa already reads the threads here) to talk with us; and Chris and the mod staff felt it was necessary to have rules in place for us to talk with him - it would be kind of rediculous.

[daydream]

FCB flyer reads:

Come one, come all...to talk with the Wossa!

(Now picture this in your minds):

There's a long waiting line.....much like at a card show - only in this line there are all of the members of FCB. The line snakes around several city blocks and at the beginning of the line there is a red carpet leading up a broad set of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs there is a golden gate and at the top of the stairs, there is a throne. And on that throne is Wossa. Gilmore and the mods have put the "ground rules" in place - only letting a certain amount of people to talk with him at once, only letting us ask certain questions, etc. The mods would be dressed in those British guard uni's (you know...the tall black fuzzy hats, red coats, tall boots, and they CANNOT SMILE!!!). The FCB members would have to walk through metal detectors, be searched by dogs, go through an impurification cleansing system.....basically tighter security than Area 51.

[/daydream]

it would be utterly rediculous. I can bet you guys that if Wossa joined here and linked us his bucket, he would be heavily spammed with PM's - there would be tons of people asking for him to buy thier stuff, wanting to know if he would trade, cussing him out for outbidding them on a super, etc.

Whoever made the comment on why Wossa shouldn't join here - feeding frenzy of pihrana is probably nailing it right on the head!

Wow, this thread is still going? I don't care if Wossa was Ronald Reagan collecting from beyond the grave - does it really matter who he is? I guess I don't feel as "star struck" as some. I do still wish that he had a gallery to look at, but I don't lose sleep over it.
