Help please on a game used hat

So I purchased this game used hat off of ebay and was kind of excited because its my first game used piece and favorite team and I like the player.
Anyways the hat is a Stars and Stripes hat which I know the Cubs wore on Memorial Day and the 4th of July I believe (correct me if im wrong) so my question is Rafael Dolis wasn't on the team at either of these dates(I don't believe) but it comes with a certificate from the Cubs Clubhouse Mgr.

Please let me know if you think this is a legit piece or I got duped?

From them description it looks like the "authenticity" is that it came from a case of items from the 2011 season. That thing looks completely new.

Not sure if they did or not but Dolis didn't get called up til September 19th

Ya most likely it's game issued. Those suitcases are pretty much stuff with random items from the locker room before they are sold. They wore the hats on 9-11, so the team most likely prepared a hat for him in case he got called up earlier.

Game used hats are almost impossible to verify. You have to just about photo match it having a pretty distinctive marking.
