Yes, I completely agree with this. No point in arguing until Brian make an appearance.

Yeah...I am confused too.I thought exclusive meant no base cards no autos no jersey cards no nothing in any other product but razor. Not Donruss, not tristar not anything.Guess I read things incorrectly.

You did read things incorrectly, Tristar can make base cards just as Topps and UD will be able to do upon their entrance into the MLB. The autos are a separate matter.

Then why is the word exclusive being thrown around. You either are or you aren't.This should go for both minor and major league liscensing.

It is the same as when Alex Rodriguez had an exclusive contract with Topps. He still had cards in Upper Deck based on he being apart of the MLBPA, but not any autos or GU.

Tristar has a contract with MiLB, where they can produce cards of any player is on a minor league team. They just can't use GU or get autos from the players, that are under exclusive contracts.

Okay but one thing I still don't get is...if I can buy the same players that razor has "exclusive" contracts with out of tristar products...I don't see why I would be more inclined to buy razor.I agree it does narrow the market but its starting to seem like their initial ploy to have all of these exclusive players is pretty much fruitless except for the bowman aspect.Especially since Tristar has autos of the players (or at least some of them) in their products...whether it was the timing issue or not...now pretty much razor has no upper hand .Basically they paid big bucks to have just about the same kind of cards tristar does and looking at them...I would give tristar the upper hand. They certainly don't look much different.

I will let ya'll hash it out the rest of the way and I will leave it alone. Its nothing that will concern me anyway it seems.I know Gilmore must be getting livid with all of these questions and whatnot and I do understand Brian is just a normal man and I seriously doubt he wants to spend every waking moment in this forum holding our hands and nursing us along on every single question that comes to mind.So...I will not add to the frustration any longer.I was merely confused as to why the hell this is all so complicated.I of course(and I will admit) did not do all of the research a lot of you seem to have done but hey...then again...I don't like to have to go through hell to figure out whats really being done. What the real deal is.If it is too much of a pain and I can see a company is hopping on one foot to the other trying to make us believe things and be confused...screw it.I'll move on and I won't complain.I just won't bust their product. Thanks for the clarification guys.I do wish razor and Brian luck.

There is nothing Razor can do about Tristar having a MiLB license. As for the autos that Tristar is packing out. If you take a look at the sell sheet, they have a asterisk, and at the bottom it says that some of the autos were purchased from a third party. And that Razor can't do anything about, since the player didn't sign for Tristar. It is the same as Donruss using Pinnacle autos for the Joe DiMaggio cuts in Prime Cuts.

You guys are crazy.

He will come on this site when he is damn good and ready. Good lord, sometimes I think people lose all of their senses on the internet.

Ditto, the mentality of the boards sometimes is absurd. **** happens guys. This looks to be an obvious mistake. Relax BG will be around eventually.

not exactly

Donruss is Pinnacle.

First, Chris, I like what you are doing with the boards and sorry for your first really big "headache". Don't let this frustration get to you and make you want to stop working on the boards.

Next, I'm not sure legally where it ends, but techinically, the current Donruss had nothing to do with that Pinnacle release. Current Donruss is the old Playoff brand which bought the Donruss/Leaf name (which originally had bought the Pinnacle name). They may have had inventory of those from their original purchase or they may have purchased them on the secondary market. I don't think old Pinnacle and current Donruss are connected. I believe when Playoff bought Donruss they only bought their inventories and not their liabilities - which is typical in a sale like this. Remember when UD bought Fleer, they bought their name but not the liability of the unexpired redemptions (which was being handled in that glorious Fleer liquidation sale).

Again, Chris, thanks what you are doing with this board - please keep it up.

I still don't understand how those who are confused or rubbed the wrong way that BG hasn't come on the boards to at least say "No comment at this time" or "We are looking into the matter" are immature for being curious.

BG prides himslef on his availability. BG has made posts 7 days a week at all hours of the day and night, holiday-time or not. He has promoted his product, he has notified us when the press plates are on Ebay, he congratulates a member during the holiday season when they pull a /5 card from a pack that was sent as a replacement, he gives us info on future product, he has talked about the hobby in general, and he has jumped in several posts ripping other companies' customer service and boasting that Razor is different. To some out there they see the exclusivity as the key to Razor's success so this might not be just a minor situation in their mind. Again it doesn't matter WHO the player is so for those who say "It is only Wade Miley" that doesn't matter.

Lack of patience --- I can give you that. But immaturity???

I supported Razor on the old BMB. I was one of the few who did from day 1. I support Razor on the new FCB. However, the way Razor is protected as if they are the fricking bubble-boy cracks me up and is a turn off. I hate how people answer questions for Razor.

When people have questions and are curious as to why a hands-on CEO is not available that does not make them immature. That makes them curious. They become even more curious when they have information that the CEO knows that there are concerns but uses a third party to give a statement after a phone call. It's not immaturity. Immaturity is name-calling and making fun of others.

I hope there is a simple answer to the question and an easy explanation as to why/how the Miley card slipped thru another product. But then again, if it is a simple answer/easy explanation, why hasn't it been offered yet?

Edit: By the way, I typed this during same time BG made his comment.
