pretty good stats for a 20 year old in his first week of pro ball. i think he'll adjust accordingly which may have his power numbers go down a bit but the walks should pick up.

on a side note, the Braves are at the Padres this week. i'm guessing that he'll get at least another dinger based on the pitching that he'll be facing. might be a good time to list some remaining cards at a high BIN in anticipation.

Padres pitching isnt that bad lol and good luck getting a hr in that ballpark

Did you not see the 2 HR's that he hit opposite field at AT&T Park? Last night - it was pretty much high winds - everyone else's HR shots were getting knocked down.

I didnt see them but I kinda hope he hits one today since im going to the game haha

He hit 1 out on Saturday night (line drive shot to left field) and last night - it was more of a fly ball, but it was the only home run hit out in left field yesterday. Hoping he hits one out for you today! I'm going to the Giants/Pirates game tonight.

Great for Heyward and the Braves with his 3rd HR, but 9 or 10 K's in 24 AB's is troubling. Seems more like Adam Dunn than Willie Mays.

Small sample size, get a clue.

Shane Spencer was not being written about as being a absolute star in every single baseball publication when he was coming up through the minors. Nice try though. Huge difference. lol.

Agreed, that was my point, small sample size in HR's, we'll all have to see at the end of the season and see where the HR and K's end up. Too early to compre him to top 5 players in the HISTORY of the game.
