I've got a few hoards going. I know I've picked up a couple more autos and nth degrees since these were taken last. Always looking for more of the bowman chrome international refractors if they ever show up. Also the topps retired sigs - especially the refractor version /25. I've got 7 or 8 of those so far.

Blue auto - have 58.

Gold auto - have 6.

Red auto - have 10.

Uncirculated auto - have 3.

Gold refractor - have 5/50.

Refractor - have 41/500.

Xfractor - have 32/250.

I have tried to grab many dupes in the past, but that collecting habit is starting to make little sense to me more and more. As you said, there are so many cards out there and most of us, dare I say ALL of us have limited funds to spend on them. Unless your collecting interest is so specific and focused, it really makes no sense when you are bidding $50-100 or more for cards you have multiples of, yet maybe you've always wanted a 57 mantle or a Pujols RC or something similar that you never chased.

I used that same logic when I was loading in a couple snipes a couple weeks back. One was for a Garvey low print run card I already had at least one of, maybe more, and the other was for a certified Greg Maddux auto, of which I had none, and it was a Dodger card to boot (bonus). I ended up backing off on the price for the Garvey (lost it) and now own a Maddux certified auto.

To the original question, I don't have a single double of anything. I like a lot of cards I have, but when there's so many more out there, I don't see the need to acquire a double (or triple, quadruple, etc.)

Yeah... when I was a kid it took me forever to get 1 of each Clark rookie. Now I have... too many

I got them all within a month or two of release (2009) but haven't seen any since. When assembled with a couple other Topps patches (like from TTT), they look like this

It's football but here are my DeMario Davis National Treasures auto cards. Have added 6 or 7 since i took this last pic and I have bought every single one that's came up for sell except for one (the 3 on there currently notwithstanding as they are 4x price)
