Calgary Vs. Edmonton tonight. The Flames have won ten straight at home vs. Edmonton and hope to keep the streak going. Flames gotta win this one to stay in contention for a playoff spot!!

I am beyond pissed at this!!

"In a pre-trade deadline flurry of activity Tuesday afternoon, defenseman Kyle Quincey was traded from the Colorado Avalanche to the Tampa Bay Lightning for forward Steve Downie, then promptly moved on to the Detroit Red Wings for minor-league defenseman Sebastien Piche and a first-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.

The 26-year-old Quincey had 5 goals and 23 points in 54 games with the Avalanche this season.

The 24-year-old Downie had 12 goals and 28 points in 55 games with the Lightning." - NHL.com

Downie was my favorite lightning player. I had a signed jersey of him I wore to every game I went to last year (35+ games). I don't know why Yzerman has to dump every freaking person right now while we aren't that far out of a playoff spot just to get draft picks. Not as excited to go see them game tonight :(

HBO Real Sports has a Lokomotiv/Cherapanov/KHL segment debuting tonight. It is devastating

Preds lead Vancouver 2-1 after 2.

Alex Burrows decided he wanted to keep his teeth and chose not to lock horns with Shea Weber after he tried to instigate some fun!

Typical Canucks. This is why I can't stand them more than any other team in the league. Bunch of cheap shot artists who won't drop the gloves when someone takes a stand against them. Burrows is the worst. Surprised they don't all wear dresses on the ice.

LOL!

Despite that, the 2 goaltenders have played outstanding hockey. Hope that we can hang on the last 5 minutes. Should be entertaining!

BTW, Hal Gill is an excellent pickup for us, IMHO. He has made several "veteran" plays tonight to get his team out of tight spots.

Robert

Update: Legwand scores to make it 3-1 Preds win and take the season series!

Blackhawks win 2-1 over Detroit. Coming alive, that's 4 straight wins after 9 losses in a row.

Crawford was great in net tonight.

So, is Rick Nash the last piece to somebody's SC winning puzzle or just gonna end up costing them? :?

I think he's the Last Piece kinda guy, and could really boost somebody's team, especially a team that needs some Firepower.

Jeff Carter is also available...

I think Nash can definitely be the last piece of a team's puzzle but it depends on which team and who his linemates are. it's all about the chemistry he and his new teammates are able to find together. if there is no chemistry than he will just cost whatever team he goes to. it's a risk any team should be willing to take to acquire one of the best players in the NHL.

I would love for the Pens to land him but that will never happen unless they put Crosby on long term IR and reportedly that will not happen despite the fact that he is still suffering from concussion symptoms.

Glad the caps stayed away. many reasons Carter is not the right fit(mostly the 10 years on the contract)

I can't believe the Kings gave up Jack Johnson for Carter and that contract.

Kinda surprised too by that one too...

and Burrows nailed the Shootout winner to end the Wings' home streak.

The Sedins combined for the game-tying goal with 16 seconds to force OT...

I was hoping we'd take a stab at JJ in all honesty. We need someone like him to pair up with Greenie.
