and the seller of the Malkin im pretty sure is logo patch cards from the old beckett boards. He owns (or owned at one time) the Crosby RC ultimate auto logo and the Ovechkin as well.

Preds beat the Panthers on the road last night 3-1.

Not to be too optimistic, but this team seems like they could make a lot of noise in the playoffs. The players they acquired are fitting in very well and we seem to have a good mix of young players and vets. Hope they don't break my heart! ::facepalm::

Sidney Crosby was cleared for contact today and took some hits from his teammates in practice. Sid said there is no timetable for his return but that he will not play in the Pens next 2 games.

the Penguins will unveil the long overdue Mario Lemieux statue today at the CONSOL Energy Center. there will be a ceremony at Noon which will be broadcast locally on ROOT Sports Pittsburgh and Nationally on the NHL Network.

The public is invited as “Le Magnifique,” a spectacular statue honoring the career and achievements of Mario Lemieux, will be unveiled on Wednesday at 12 noon at CONSOL Energy Center.

The statue is located in the plaza just outside the Trib Total Media Gate at CONSOL Energy Center, near the intersection of Centre Avenue and Washington Place.

Wednesday’s event is open to the public free of charge. Part of Centre Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic at 10 a.m. that morning, so that fans may gather to watch the unveiling ceremony.

For those who cannot attend, ROOT Sports is carrying the ceremony live, starting at 12 noon.

Lemieux actually refused to have a statue built for the last five years but the rest of the ownership group finally convinced him it was something that the fans wanted and he gave in.

As for the game it started off bad for the Pens being down 2-0 but they took over the game in the 2nd Period. The Leafs need to get a starting goaltender. The Monster and Reimer aren't the answer nor was firing Ron Wilson.

Tonight finds the Predators trying to get back in the win column against the Avalance. Preds are 2-0-1 against them this season.

I hope Coach Trotz is getting his lines set up with the new additions so they can really be comfortable for the playoffs.

Flames 1st round pick from last season is getting called up from Juniors (33G,94P,44 Games) on an emergency call up basis. He must return to Portland when the first F is available off injury.


Does anyone know what this does for his RC status? Strictly cards, I know 20 games is the threshold, and he'll probably only be up for 1-3 games.
Is there a minimum number of games for a Young Guns for example? I know Couture was called up late season but had a series 2 young gun released for some strange reason.
