Hopefully CBC will pick this game up like they did his last return. TSN and TSN2 are showing March Madness.

Since I don't have a team in the east, GO PENS!!!!

Dave, Gino looks like Dupuis in that pic ;)

it sounds like Hybrid Icing will be approved at this week's GM's meetings but the talk of bringing the Red Line back to the game is getting shot down (as it should be).

I would love to see hybrid icing come to the NHL. there have been too many injuries in the last few seasons due to collisions as a result of racing to the puck.

for those that are unaware of what the Hybrid Icing rule is...

Hybrid icing is a mixture of touch and no-touch icing. It gives a linesman the discretion to blow his whistle and stop the play if he believes a defending player will reach the puck first. If the linesman believes the attacking player has a chance to reach the puck first, he keeps his whistle in his pocket and lets the race to the puck play out. The linesman always will side with the defending player and blow his whistle if he feels the race is a tie by the time the players reach the faceoff dots.

Sidney Crosby will return to the Penguins lineup Thursday night when the Pens play the Rangers at MSG.

hopefully Sid can stay healthy this time. the Pens need a healthy Crosby if they want to go deep in the Playoffs.

AWESOME!!!!!

How can GMs make unilateral rule changes Ike that?

If I was the PA I'd block everything until the next CBA. How is this any different than realignment??

It should be a full no touch icing. For the 1 race per game is it worth putting it in the discretion of the linesman?

Know what would be a better rule? No icing when on the penalty kill.

Glencross' 7th goal in 7 games in the highest such streak this season in the NHL.

???

I didn't know what you meant by this, but now i see that Glencross has the longest consecutive goal scoring streak, with a goal in 7 straight games.

Hopefully he can make it 8 straight tonight when the Flames play the Sharks.

Bucco you see Big Mac go mad in AHL. Time for Pens to call him up with Sid coming back. What he did is what he needs to do in NHL a few times. Force the issue. Beat up some guys. Pens can kill a few penalties and watch all room Sid and company get on ice.

TSN2 will show the pens rangers game.
They have NCAA coverage online right now, so I see them doing it again on Thursday.

I did see the video but I don't think they will call him up they already have too many forwards as it is. plus he tried several times this season to force the issue and no one would fight him.

OT in Calgary. Baertschi netted his 2nd career goal, and Iginla scored his 30th, his 11th straight 30+ goal season.

Win in OT, so get an important point, but still give 1 to SJ. Could be a 4 way tie with 78 points if the Kings win tonight.

Stamkos hits 50 goals again and my man Kopitar gets to 60 points again. He has now had at least 60 pts in every season he's played. As for Stamkos, I decided to pick up a nice card of his for the pc, something with an auto and a patch, so stay tuned to see that in the pickup thread.

CALGARY -- Jarome Iginla joined elite company Tuesday night, becoming only the seventh player in NHL history to record 11 consecutive 30-goal seasons.

CONGRATS TO IGGY!!!! :D

Earlier in the year, i really thought Iginla's 30 goals a year streak was coming to an end this year. Hopefully Iginla can make it 12 straight next year!!!

Been a little under the weather this week, but I am very glad to see that Sidney will play Thursday! :D

I actually fell asleep Monday night with the Preds leading the Coyotes 3-2. My 11 year son old had to tell me the next morning that they won in a shootout! What a great kid!

Wow, so last night (Tuesday) was the best hockey game I've ever been to. Caps were down 4-1 with a minute to go, and won 5-4 in the shootout.

I have to admit though, as low as in the standings as the Islanders are, they were giving me heart attacks late in the game. That team, given a bit more defense and good goaltending could be really scary in the future.

Fan support though... ::facepalm:: they were more Capitals fans in the stands then there were Islander fans.

I'm glad you saw a great game Terry and I agree about the Islanders but they need a new owner and arena in order for things to turn around for them.

Pens @ Rangers on NBC Sports (US) and TSN2 (Canada)

- the Pens scored a goal on Crosby's first shift in his return. Matt Cooke gets credit for a goal that Bickle knocked in the goal behind Biron.

- the game is tied at 1 after the 1st Period.

- the Pens lead 3-2 after 2 periods. Cooke and Malkin scored for the Pens. Gaborik scored for the Rangers.

- the Pens win 5-2 and have now won 10 games in a row. Crosby assisted on a goal by Kunitz and Dupuis. Kris Letang had an assist and was +5.

Great night in hockey last night. Crosby has a strong return, Sven Bartchei scores again and Calgary wins fifth straight. Kinda sux though that flames have to send Sven back to the dub. CHL Playoffs start right away. Gotta hope Portland gets knocked out fast so Bartchei can come back to Calgary for Nhl playoffs.
