Just got back from vacation so not sure this was posted about this show or not...

I was back to Long Island for the first time in 3 years so I had to go to a show as there are none near me in Melbourne, FL. Well, I thought the prices on singles was pretty high. The other thing that drives me crazy at shows is that most people do not list prices & you need to ask the price of every card. I usually just walk away at that point. I know it would be a lot of work, but if I may be interested in 12 cards it seems like I would be a pain in the a** if I wanted that many prices, so I leave. I got myself a few (20) 2010 purple Bowman Refractors of some guys I like & a box of 2010 Elite (8 autos) & a box of Football which I rarely buy. It turned out to be a great box as I pulled a Manning 2x dual color Prime Jersey Auto #3/5.

Anyone have decent buys at the show?

Now keep in mind pricing every rc card you have is a task in itself but rookie stuff is ever changing. It would be a full time job to keep up with the price shifting. In short its not gonna happen for most people. Other stuff should not be a problem.

BTW for anyone else reading the show was a real bomb there was zero traffic.

You had guys at your booth every time I walked by, Joe. ;)

Definitely agreed about the crowd. It was oddly... subdued. I was there for about an hour and a half starting at noon on Saturday, and the crowds weren't near their usual levels. There were a few dealers missing - for instance, the supply guy near the autograph table.

i was there on saturday from 915am - 2pm

hung out with joe, he hooked me up the whole day which i truly appreciate!! joe da man~

got what i went for mainly, which was to get my 1961 topps juan marichal rc card signed with an inscription (on its way to psa/dna for encapulation!)

2x rcr's gemmed! (bruce harper blue ref 2010 bowman and felix hernandez 1/1 sketch 2010 allen and ginter (on its way to get slabbed!!)

already looking forward to the thanksgiving one!

i did notice the there weren't much traffic on saturday. not sure if sunday was better. i've always liked it at hofstra over white plains because it's bigger (it seems like...) cleaner and brighter!!

did browse around to see if i could pick up any singles but really didn't see anything mainly because of the price range...

otherwise, loved the show!

joe picked up some sick cards in a trade, btw

Yeah, I know pricing cards individually would be a pain, but maybe rows of like this row is X dollars and this row is X dollars. I understand that it would be difficult. The place was quiet. Looked like several dealers were not there Sat morning, not sure if they came later, had to go early as I had a wedding Sat afternoon. It was still the best show I went to in about 5 years as there really is nothing to speak of in all of Florida.

I know Beckett had a horrible show, very little subs due to the very low attendance.

Best bet is to not have a show there after the Summer. In fact, best bet is to not have any shows in Queens or LI.
