Is anyone buying cards from this guy? Well I assume it's the same person using multiple usernames...

wylarcollectibles: items in wylarcollectibles store on eBay!

cardzrus11: items in cardzrus11 store on eBay!

gilikeu2: items in gilikeu2 store on eBay!

I bought something from him a long time ago and while I thought it was a decent item, it was on relatively thin stock and was obviously homemade. He's gotta be making a good deal of money printing these "cards." The ones with pennies are a pretty neat idea. The auctions are usually private and hides the buyers, but one would think he's going to get in trouble at some point though, right?

Are you Player Collectors going after these at all?

I go after the Hendersons. Most are done nicely, but the Millhouse ones are getting a bit old though. Too many different borders. They remind me of the old "broder" cards, so I collect them. I have 239 different Hendersons.

Damn. No wonder he keeps making these. You are keeping him in business. lol

But hey, if you like them, then they are valid cards. Some broder cards can be pretty cool.

Isn't this guy flirting with trouble? It's not a few bucks here and there and he's sold hundreds of these things. A lot of them have gone for $30, $50, upwards of $100. I have no idea how much he's made, but it's easily thousands for some pretty basic designs and swapping in/out athletes and celebrities. Seems like a copyright issue on some of them, but does anyone care?

To be honest, I am surprised he hasn't been asked to stop. People have paid that much for them????

I forgot one username that I think is the same seller: gothamsports. The cards says "Authenticated Ink" which I seem to recall seeing before.

Anyway, someone bought a Vizquel with an "Original 1989 Lincoln Memorial Cent" (aka rookie-year penny) for $80 a little while back.

I think he does a relatively good job with them. I've picked up a few of the Clark's and put them in the same category as broders from the late 80's and 90's. Nothing to scream up and down about, but for a homemade card, he does a nice job, but starting to get a little old. He should start changing up the design and/or photos.

If the bidders are private, is it possible that the seller shills one up with a couple of dummy accounts to show a huge sale and drive up the market value? On many of the auctions I have seen the seller goes out of the way to show past auction sale prices in the auction description.

And yeah I'm flabbergasted that ebay or the MLB/players association hasn't nailed him on it yet. He's selling completely unlicensed cards.
