Cleaning through stuff and don't have any use for these, so the person that posts the most creative reason they should have it will get it. I'll pick the winning responses tomorrow night and knowing this board, I have no doubt they will be... interesting.

Also, I'll pick a winner for each item so more people can win...

Will start with these:

I think I should get the Koufax because this Saturday I'm going to have to sit in temple, empty-stomached, for 4 hours as I fast to repent for the sins I committed last (Jewish) new year. As I kvetch (Yiddish for complain) about how much Yom Kippur sucks, the Koufax card would remind me of what Sandy did in the 1965 World Series and how lucky I am to be able to celebrate holidays with my family without missing any obligations (like Game 1 of the World Series) or without being criticized (like Koufax was).

Thanks for your generosity

Dear Friend.
My name is Gwynn545 I have decided to contact you in the name of (God).I am 59 years of old and I was made to understand that i am among those that was found wanting for the uncompleted road contract that was awarded to our company before the death of my junior brother Alhaji Umaru Yar'Adua. Who was The former President of Nigeria who just passed on as the former president of Nigeria, Who had left me some of his ASSSET he worked for.

Due to the fact that i might be called up for questioning by the Government any moment from now. I have decided to contact you for an FCB transaction rather than allow my present government to seize all my brother's hard earned funds that he left for me.

I have asked God to receive him in peace and I believe he has because He is a merciful God. I will be going in for Questioning tomorrow morning. I decided to deposit the sum of $18,000,000 (Eighteen million dollars) to you for a business partnership and also to help the motherless and less privilege and also for the assistance of the widows. Because since my brother with all he has achieved as the two time governor of a state and also a 3 years term as a President of the biggest black country in the whole world can die what else are we talking about, so I think one has to be close to God.

At the moment I cannot take any telephone calls right now due to the fact that my movements are monitored and i do not know what will be the outcome of tomorrow's questioning.

I have arranged with my councilor he is aware of everything to an extent. Both of you will arrange for the change of ownership of the funds as it is presently in a trunk box deposited in a security company in London, United Kingdom and would only be released to (you).

I wish you all the best. Contact my Councilor, Mr.Makanaky Bisala with this specified email([email protected]) with your full names contact telephone/fax number and your full address and tell him that I have deposited ($18,000,000.00) to you for international business partnership and I have also notified him that I have deposited that amount to you for a specific and good work.

The only thing you would have to do is send the cards of baseball to me which so not be a problem.

I will appreciate your utmost confidentiality in this matter until the task is accomplished as I don't want anything that will be jeopardize my effort.

Thanks,
Gwynn545

I could use the Phil Hughes because I have a Reggie Jackson like it (in Yanks uniform) and they would look great together in my NYY PC.

Anyhow, thanks for the contest.

I would like to have the Koufax topper.
I bought this card on ebay last year and it arrived damaged, after it had been dropped in a puddle or some other water source, with the card warped and peeling. I then bought it again late last year from ebay, arriving damaged after the shipper thought wedging it between 2 pieces of thin cardboard would protect it. Arrived creased up the right side from top to bottom. Try #3 was a purchase from COMC in April. Arrived shipped safely, but was creased prior to shipping and the seller claimed they didnt notice, but it was pretty apparent and it would have been hard to miss. I then traded for it here a short time ago. This one wasnt protected well and arrived bent up the side as well.

At this point, I've tried to acquire it 4 times and all have been badly damaged. I'd like for my 5th chance to be the charm.

2011 Just Minors MYSTERY PHOTOS Brandon McCarthy 8x10 auto:

I lived in Birmingham in 2004 when he played for the Birmingham Barons.
This was the only "pro team" in town worth a hoot;
so there were lots of good times on $1.00 beer night, heckling the other teams.
In 2004, he led all minor league pitchers in strikeouts, with 202;
so he was a pretty big deal at the time, and i gots the fond memories to prove it.
