I bought this Kinsler on ebay tonight. The auction clearly stated that there was a $5.00 charge for shipping and handling and NO insurance. Well, I am the winning bidder at 13.75 before shipping and I click through to the pay screen via paypal. AFTER I've already committed to buying the card, I get slammed with a "Mandatory" $2.00 insurance charge. The insurance stated "None" under "Insurance", but now that I've purchased the item I can't do anything about it. Now I'm paying 20.75 for a card I wanted for 18.75. Is there any way to get my $2 back? Or do I just slam him for shipping charges when they roll around and that's that?
For those saying "All this fuss over two bucks?" A. It could have been more and B. That's more than ten percent of my purchase. You would care if it was cash back on bing, would you not?
I just hate that this cost was hidden from me until I had committed to buying the card and now I'm forced to take a neg if I don't like it and refuse to pay (which I didn't. The card is paid for.)
What gives?
