how do they figure OBP.

I know a stupid question but how do they figire the OBS. Do also include wlaks? I am seeing poeple with alot more hits than others but there OBS. is lower. How acan that be? Unless they include the walks right?

They include walks. Its the % of the time a player gets on base. Doesnt matter how. Anything other than an error.

Not exactly.

Force outs at other bases don't count, and neither do catcher's interference nor dropped third strikes.

The formula is this:

OBP = (H+BB+HBP)/(AB+BB+HBP+SF)

The wikianswers link that PManning18 posted is dead wrong (not his fault). They list sacrifice BUNTS as part of the calculation, but that isn't part of it at all. It is sacrifice FLIES that is included.
