How much is Robert Griffin worth to you?

It's a pretty well known fact now that St. Louis is trading the 2nd pick to the highest bidder, with this comes the question, just how much would you give up to move up to take RG3?

Teams looking to possibly trade up:

Cleveland at #4
Washington at #6
Miami at #8
Buffalo at #10 (not sure how they feel about Fitzpatrick)
Seattle at #12

At first glance Cleveland looks to be the best fit with an extra 1st rounder this year but with the news that Redskins have stated that they would give up a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd PLUS a first next year it looks like it going to be an absolute bidding war, especially if other teams get into the mix.

I'm personally a Deadskins fan, and a huge one of RG3 as well. However, I'm not sure I'm completely sold on giving up the house for Griffin with there being so many others holes to fill on the team. On the other hand, I'm not sure I can stand another year of Rex, so at this point I'm pretty much indifferent.

So, how much would you give up for RG3?

The Redskins definitely need someone to replace Rex, that much is certain. But wow, the number 6 pick and then a second third and first year pick next year? They better be damn certain this guy is a huge answer to a lot of their problems because those are a lot of picks to give to a team that already has an established franchise QB. I like RG3, I like his attitude, his raw talent is ridiculous, but for me he still has a lot to prove, his height may be an issue, who knows how he'll handle the pressure. It's a lot of question marks to give up that much. I think Miami won't trade up to get him, they may take a shot at Peyton who knows what's happening with Brees, plus Matt Moore wasn't even terrible last season it seems like he's got a lot of room for growth. Cleveland like you said is the best bet, but if Washington is going to give up all that, it's hard to imagine someone countering with a better offer. Look what happened in Carolina though, Cam had a great year, and they were nowhere near a playoff team. I think the goal for Washington should be to be a playoff team in two years; will trading this years top three picks and next years top pick for RG3 get them there? Personally I just don't believe it will

Plus, the Deadskins don't have much at WR or O-line to help him out and losing all those picks means you gotta fill in via Free agency, which is hard 'cuz they're already near the Cap and haven't done with Offensive FAs anyway.

I like RG3, but that price is too steep IMO...

i would say Seattle would be the best team able to afford to sell the farm to get RG3, their real need is only at QB, they are set at OL (2 first and 2nd and a 3rd round pick on them the past few years), WR (Rice, Williams, Tate) DB (Thomas, Browner, Sherman, Chanchlor). The real other need is DL, but if they go out and sign Mario Williams, they would be set there, they can afford to lose a draft or 2 and still be pretty solid the next few years...

He will end up in Washington, and Dan Snyder will "overpay" for him. I love the kid's skill and have high expectations for him, but nobody is a sure thing when transitioning from the NCAA to NFL. RG3 to Hankerson and Moss makes me excited...and then sad when I remember I'm a Cowboys fan.

Now that Peyton has been cut I'm leaning more towards holding onto the pick and signing Manning assuming they don't lock him up for a ton of years and that Manning would actually want to play for Washington.

If they do get Manning, I'll be curious to see what they do with the 6th pick. I think Claiborne would be perfect fit, especially with all the elite wideouts in the NFC East. However, I could see them Blackmon do go along with Hankerson and Moss to give Manning some one to throw to. This is assuming that Trent Wiliams's off the field issues are behind him and he lives up to his potential.

never say never, mcnabb was traded to the redskins, if theres a deal that both teams like i dont think that would be much of a problem, its a little overrated i think

That's true, I just hadn't even considered that possibility before and Favre did go to the Vikings after the Jets. It just seems like right now the Redskins have the most to give then Cleveland is 4th, and the Rams aren't going to pick RG3 at 2 anyways for their roster (they'd pick him to trade him) so if the Rams would get Blackmun at 4 or someone else they're looking at I think they'd be fine with the 4 pick plus a few others.
