I would reckon about $5000++

Nowadays, maybe $500+ for the historical significance?

Boy I hope that estimate is wrong. Golds still go for $100+.

Have you seen any closed coppers recently? If golds are still going for that much, a copper would probably sell for $500+ and the 1/1 over a grand?

I can't believe the gold is legitimately still selling for that price. I saw the BIN, but I can't imagine a regular one running at auction go for more than $40-$50..

Actually, a Gold just fell off the completed search listings that went for $150 via Best Offer also, so that $125 the last one went for is probably not that far off.

Insane.

I don't think I would ever pay more than $20 for that gold Jeter card, then again, yankee collectors are known to pay STUPID prices for Yankee stuff, and that's an infamous topps collectible, so I guess it's not too surprising. Congrats on a rare pick up, but I'm not sure I would hold on to that card for too long, most gimic cards depreciate with time...

So you're the one that bought it! I know what you paid for it but since I respect your privacy, I won't reveal it. I offered him much less than the selling price. In the last year I've picked up 3 golds between $50 and $100. Last copper I've seen on ebay about 6 months ago sold for high $3XX, almost $400. Nice pick up nontheless. :D

I thought he said it came out of a variety pack from Kmart?

It's only a PC item if I can't make any cash on it.

Hey Jaster, did you end up picking that up from someone over at SCF? I saw a guy asking how much it was worth.

If you did, great job!

I saw it over there too. Nice card.

So this was the watermarked card?! Awesome pickup. There has to be at least one insane buyer out there who will pay whatever you ask for.

Be8el0ve, how much do "regular" Jeter Supers and Platinums fetch?

I wont throw out the number either, but its not that hard to see what he paid for it.

I really do hope you get every cent back and a ton more, but I have a feeling that it might be harder than you think to get it all back. That was a crazy amount you spent on a "joke" card. Again if you move it good luck!

We'll see...

Like I said I really hope you get way more than you paid for it. I would never want to see anyone lose any money! Good luck and keep us posted please!

Happy New Year
