Here's my redone BCS matchups

#1 Alabama vs #16 West Virginia
#2 Texas vs #15 Miami
#3 TCU vs #14 BYU
#4 Cincinatti vs #13 Penn State
#5 Florida vs #12 LSU
#6 Boise State vs #11 Virginia Tech
#7 Oregon vs #10 Iowa
#8 Ohio State vs #9 Georgia Tech

Thanks

A 16 team playoff would be HORRIBLE for college football.
Please give me 3 reasons why. It would take 4 weeks to complete.

1. It takes away the importance of the regular season. Every single week of the football season is important. Come prepared for every game knowing it might be you only chance.

2. It decreases the fairness for the teams that went undefeated. For example, a team like Penn State who does not in the least bit deserve a chance to be the MNC has atleast a 1/16 shot.

3. I do not support, at all, anyone playing for the MNC that did not win their conference. How can Florida be the MNC w/o first being an SEC champ, or Iowa w/o being Big 10 champ.

Now, I think some of the BCS bowls might be broken, but I'm content w/ the BCS determining the MNC. I'm not for any playoff that is bigger than 3 or 4 teams.
Ok... well lets see here the playoff I said would work is basically what basketball does. So from your statements you are also stating that the College Basketball season has no importance and that the teams that make it in as At-Large Bids don't deserve to be in the NCAA Tourny. And that if there should be a team in the near future to go undefeated going into the NCAA Tourny they should automatically win. Like St Joes 4 or 5 years ago or Memphis 2 years ago.

You seem to be selling March Madness to me, not reasons why NCAA Football should have a playoff. I'm not debating basketball, because it's an entirely different world w/ 3 times as many games and teams. And I do, infact, think the NCAA tournament takes away a TON from the regular season.

I think you are just afraid of change! Noone cares that it wasn't fair that the Giants lost 2 of their first 3 games the year they beat the unbeaten Pats in the Super Bowl! Noone feels sorry for the Pats. The Giants were given the chance to save their season, and became champs. College teams are not allowed that same chance, and it is sad. Why is this the only sport with no playoff?!?! I get why the College bigwigs do not want to change, all money. I will NEVER get why a fan wouldn't want a playoff! Brainwashing I guess.
