HUGE shoutout to Slette and Ryo

Eric asked me a week ago to look through a Beckett seller's VY stuff to see if there's anything I needed. Amazingly, he had the rarest card I needed for one of my two rainbows I'm working on.

Numbered 1/10. It's now my rarest non auto/game 1/1 used VY. It's also now in my top 10 favorite cards

He also threw in these (along with a JH, which I didn't scan). New VY (/199), and the Colt is sweet.


Nate also sent me some awesome UT cards, none of which I had. All are numbered to 100 or less

I might go for the Johnson Finest rainbow. I know the guy who owned the Super a few years ago. I think he still has it. The rest should be relatively easy

I loved Derrick Johnson in college, and really wanted the Vikes to draft him. It was good and bad they didn't - bad, because they drafted Troy Williamson instead, but good because it forced them to get Greenway last year.

I almost bought an Elite box. THAT'S how boring it is. I found one VY Topps Magic card I needed for a whopping 25 cents. I've struck out on finding Greenways for Eric and other stuff for random people. There was one guy who had a 96-97 Fleer Thrill Seekers MJ. Wanted $475. I told him they usually sell for $325-$375 on Ebay. Wouldn't budge on the price. It's extremely difficult to come face-to-face with a card you've been wanting and resist the urge to buy it. It's easy on EBay because it's just a scan on a computer and you can't hold it and inspect it

I brought $900 with me, I really hope I don't buy dumb stuff just to justify wasting $100 in gas driving here. So far I've been smart

Jordan inserts ROCK imho. I dont have a ton, but I really like my Jordan collection and retirment sets. And they were are priced to sell at the time.
