To both of these:

Do you know Barry well enough to find out when he started ? To assume he did 40/40 without is total assumption, there is no telling when he started.

And to say thats all Roids did....It probably helped Barry stay in the game for as long as he did, and be able to maintain his level of play.

People need to wake up and stop sticking up for these guys. If you truly love the sport of baseball for the game, then you can not think anything other then these guys tainted the sport and are garbage. Plain and simple. Their goal was not to play baseball for the love of the sport, rather they play for the love of money. Not to mention the negative image they portray. Every little kid now see Aroid and says, I can juice too, and get paid 28million a year. It sets a poor example.

First of all, Soriano was 40/40/40, and he has NOT been accused of any steroid use. Has anyone noticed that most steroid abusers actually stole significantly less bases after using PED's? I don't know why, it just seems that way.

This is assuming you believe Griffey's story that Bonds started taking steroids over the attention McGwire and Sosa were getting in 1998. And the fact all of the court documents so far has him taking steroids in the 2000-2001 time range. And the fact he didn't balloon in size until the 21st century. I don't know for sure obviously but I think it's a safe bet.

My point was that 40/40 is not so amazing a feat that you need to assume someone needs to be on steroids to achieve it.
