that's what i don't like about people who will hate him and A-Rod, even before all this crap they were still both HOF caliber players...all the roids did was make them steal fewer bases and hit 10 HR's more...

Canseco admitedly starting juicing in 1984, so at this point it's pretty naive to assume that Bonds didn't start using until 2000-2001. Not every type of steroids turns you into a cartoon character. Pettitte never got huge, Clemens never really changed in size.

Well, in the case of Bonds, he got 40/40 before taking steroids. Don't know about the others.

To both of these:

Do you know Barry well enough to find out when he started ? To assume he did 40/40 without is total assumption, there is no telling when he started.

And to say thats all Roids did....It probably helped Barry stay in the game for as long as he did, and be able to maintain his level of play.

People need to wake up and stop sticking up for these guys. If you truly love the sport of baseball for the game, then you can not think anything other then these guys tainted the sport and are garbage. Plain and simple. Their goal was not to play baseball for the love of the sport, rather they play for the love of money. Not to mention the negative image they portray. Every little kid now see Aroid and says, I can juice too, and get paid 28million a year. It sets a poor example.

Why are you assuming it is just todays stars that are using. And this isnt just a baseball problem, this is a sports problem. Considering the Steelers were avid users in the 70s, it is safe to assume that it was avidly being consumed in all sports by all atheletes. Just because it wasnt being tested for doesnt mean no one did it as we are starting to find out. Plain and simple, it is a safe bet that at some point from HS/College on, most of these players have taken some sort of PEDs or Steroids etc. Hell, I can walk into my local Golds Gym and score PEDs in 5 minutes. It isnt like these guys are being secretive about it, and until recently no one even cared.

Why hate on these players alone when it is very likely that many others "juiced" too?

We have no clue how many players used steroids, including "stars" or HOFers.

Bonds apperance dramatically changed within a year or two, that's how you can tell, you can't lift weights and grow that much...I'm no sticking up for them, I'm just saying they didn't use then, and they were great then, plus to even hit those HR's you still have to hit the ball...

There is no assumption in my post about its only star players, nor that its only a problem in baseball.
