A bidder with "0" feedback :?: I hope its not some JA just bidding to mess things up.
Disgusting.
With a once in a lifetime sale like this, I would have blocked anyone under 10 for sure. Maybe even 20.
Better safe then sorry.
Good luck man.

I was sleeping when that guy bid, I have been cancelling anyone under 5 as soon as I see it. I do not know how to block anyone under 10 per say.... Is there a way to do so? that would save me a lot of time[/quote:2mfsbhcg]

You can keep fending them off but near the end it's impossible. A zero just won my Red Refractor auto. Nothing I could do about it :x

There are collectors that collect cards like people collect paintings..

Once they get them in their possession, they are there for good..

Some PSA registry set collectors are insane as well..

Once again great pull.. now it's over $10K.. 5 days to go.. :o

Its getting crazy I admit, Less than halfway in the auction and it is 10K plus... If you told me that would happen when I listed it, after the offers I got before, I would have said you were nuts

Here's hoping Strasburg has a great game tomorrow so you can avoid the winning bidder from retracting their bid or simply not paying... I would still look for a way to work with a bidder off line and get paid for the card now...

I think if theyre this crazy/stupid they would pay anyway. a seed has already been planted in their mind and they might deny anythings wrong even if he had 4 bad starts in a row. jmo

$10k+ plus for a piece of cardboard, of a prospect to boot........... wow. Clearly some people have no common sense.

Congrats on the pull though, it really must have floored you.

People that make statements like yours have no common sense. Its an investment. Like the people that recently lost money in the stock market, you tell them investing makes no sense, until you find out they they had made 50 million in the market before that. Its a collection, an investment or people buying to know that they have a piece in their collection nobody else will ever have unless they let go of it. Same idea as people that buy a 300k car and only let people see the photos of it since its in a locked garage.

This has gone past the price of an investment and has no become a prestige thing. Even if stras wins 5 strait cy young awards, it will be tough as crap to beat the price that it will end at.

Lol, have fun with that. When he flops, you lose. When you pay 10k+ for a card, even if he has a 10 great years, you honestly believe someone will be willing to pay even more?

I dont see it, and regardless of your opinion, or mine, "rolling 10K" on a prospect isnt common sense its gambling, plain and simple.

Well put. This card will most likely never exceed 70% of its sale price in the future. I hope you get 15000 for it. Good luck.

Exactly, too many variables in play here at that price.

There are some cards that people think will never reach that plateau again..

I'm sure they said that when Gretzy and his partner spent $450K for that Wagner.. What was the last sale? Wasn't it around $2.5M..

Every person on here has bought cards just because they like the card and are not looking to get rid of them.. I guess everyone that spends more on cards than you must have lost their common sense..

Wait until the Auto'd Superfractor gets hit.. which should sell about two to three times what the non-auto'd version will get..

and another factor is hes a pitcher.. can you imagine what the hype would be if hes a hitter?

even if a pitcher does good a lot of people lose interest.

I mean Roy is probably the best right now, yet hitters 1-15 are worth more IMO
