Ebay refunded me the whole amount even though I ONLY requested that I be refunded the amount I was charged for state tax. That shouldn't be to hard to comprehend but I guess fandruw has no life and has to follow me around on this web site even though she is on my ignore list.

Again, please explain why you feel it is right that you were given a full money back refund after receiving the card (pictured above)?

Why don't you balls up and post your ebay ID so I, and others who wish too, can block it.

LOL. Ignore list are for cowards like yourself.

It says under payment that California residents get charged tax. Are you unable to read or just looking/hoping to scam others out of their money and cards due to your incompetence?

Would still love to see if you have the balls to post your ebay Id.

Classless actions by some on here.
The pettiness of some is pathetic!

Three very important takeaways from this thread:
1) Not everybody who is collecting sales tax on eBay is doing so incorrectly. It is fair to question them, but unfair to automatically assume that they should not be charging the tax.
2) You should ALWAYS question a seller if you are being charged sales tax for a state in which you do not reside, or where you are not taking delivery of an item.
2) If a seller is collecting sales tax and not remitting to the state, then they are breaking the law. And the guy who said something about collecting sales tax because his eBay sales were now reportable for income tax purposes is just flat out committing fraud. If you get an answer like that from an eBay seller, report them to the state in which they live.

So, I opened a case against the seller who charged me state tax. I asked that I be partially refunded for the state tax that I was charged and they refunded me the whole amount which was about 16 bucks LOL I emailed the seller twice and asked that he refund me the state tax that I was charged before I opened the case but he didn't reply so F him!

Wow. Really great that someone can rip me off and not answer my emails.

I did end up refunding the seller back all the money minus what I was charged for the state tax. Wish he would have not charged state tax in the first place and I wouldn't have gone through that hassle.

Glad you support sellers that charge state tax when they shouldn't.

No you didn't. Now you can add liar to your resume.

You wallowed in the fact that you got all the money back.

Your very adult "LOL" is indicative of your overall intent.

You found a loophole and you screwed the guy over and now you are a liar.

Prove us wrong. What is the seller's id? He can tell us if you actually gave him the money back for the card. Which of course you did not.

It was for a card I really wanted so I didn't raise the issue until I saw that it was on it's way through tracking.

Look at that quote! You KNEW you were going to screw the guy over for the card and, as I quoted and will again...........

I didn't raise the issue until I saw that it was on it's way through tracking.

TOS won't let me call you a scumbag but I will offer the opinion that people that pull this move......buying a card that you are uncomfortable with the particulars but will per-meditatedily later open a case that they know they would win all along? Those hypothetical people are scumbags.
