Good Morning Fellow Boardmembers,
I have a bad habit. I don't leave feedback for transactions that go smoothly like I probably should because of how time consuming it is and how it's difficult to do so in bulk. I know tons of people will rip me for this but you know what, IT'S MY RIGHT TO NOT DO IT...IT IS OPTIONAL, NOT REQUIRED.
Having said that, I sold a 2010 Triple Threads Carl Yastrzemski GOLD VAR BASE #/99 to a guy and shipped it promptly. Days later I get the following e-mail in my e-bay account:
"Hi. I received your product. Great, and thanks. But, if you really are trying to get 5 stars for everything, especially communication, why have you only left 7 feedbacks in the last 90 days, and received over 400 feedbacks during that time? It seems like you are wanting to get feedback to help your sales and store, but not giving back to your customers. You should be leaving feedback first, or at least leaving it immediately afterwards. Unfortunately, I have been having more sellers recently not care about their customers and give everyone that basic communication and courtesy -- and therefore, get only 1 star from me. I won't hurt your positive feedback, since you were fine, but customers deserve a basic "thank you" after we sent you money. It is VERY easy and quick for you to leave feedback....especially when you want it from us! I hope that will help you as you continue with your business."
So, I let sleeping dogs lie...It gets my goat that this guy has the gaul to call me out though. I don't even reply so that I don't get upset and go off on the guy.
Today I awake to find a NEUTRAL FEEDBACK in my account from this clown--"Not leaving feedback for your customers shows you don't care. Why should we help". Well, I yield...I spent TWO HOURS this morning in between calls at the office leaving feedback for every transaction and I send the guy a feedback revision request in hopes that this guy will reconsider and revise his feedback.
How can this guy say he's not going to hurt my positive feedback and then leave me a negative. GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Now, I've recently had a guy leave me negative feedback after USPS took a long time to deliver a package/lost it. I SHIPPED A NEW ORDER WITH ALL OF THE ITEMS to try and get this guy to change his feedback and REFUNDED THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE ORDER INCLUDING SHIPPING. Having a refund in hand already, he still wouldn't give me the courtesy of doing it before he got the new package--the revision request expired the day it arrived. I also had a clown tell me that I had TWO CARDS PICTURED of which he ONLY RECEIVED ONE when the auction CLEARLY states that the auction is for ONE card. Take a look at ANY of the auctions I have up right now...I don't think there are very many people who describe as clearly as I do and who are as crystal clear with their descriptions and terms as me. I mean, I use new shipping supplies, every card gets a penny-sleeve, toploader, team/graded card bag, and stiffener.
It's getting to the point where I'll have to stop because this is taking up too much time in my life and it is having too much of a detrimental effect on me.
What is this guys problem? Why would someone wilfully harm someone else this way? What is it with people today? All of this over a $.99 card...go figure.
Any horror stories you'd like to share? Opinions? Let me hear your comments. If you'd like to see any of the above mentioned cases, see my e-bay account: Lfeijoo2k3.
I can't stand e-bay.
