Typically the only feedback one worries about is their own.
I think it's a freudian thing.

I have no problem ordering from a seller with a few negatives...

And you have what, five transacations under your belt? Seriously bro, chill out. You certainly aren't an ebay expert and shouldn't be preaching about it since you are an amateur.

I have a bad habit. I don't leave feedback for transactions that go smoothly like I probably should because of how time consuming it is and how it's difficult to do so in bulk.
You know there is a screen where you can bring up all your transactions (I think it comes up when you click "Leave more feedback". Click on the positive button, type a message, highlight it, hit control+c (copy), and then go down the list click the positive button on each listing and hit control+v (paste). Continue on down the list leaving the same message for your buyers. You could have done your entire months transactions in the time it took you to write this message.
nosterbor said:Did you comprehend what i wrote? so in the old way if you got a card in 3 weeks you gave the seller a positive feed back. and why? because if you left a neg, you got one in return, because of a scumbag seller. but that is OK.Jeff N. said:nosterbor said:ebay changed it for that reason!!!!!!!! use to be you paid the seller right away and it would take 3 weeks to get the item after asking the seller WHERE IS MY CARD AFTER 2 WEEKS WITH NO RESPONCE. i would leave a big neg. then get a big neg in retaliation! some time i would get a neg before i got the card.it is wayyyyyyyy better that they changed it.cardsrmytherapy said:Huffamaniac said:I agree with one point of his. As a buyer I only leave feedback once the seller did. I can not give someone a 5 for communication if they did not "communicate" to me by giving me feedback. I will not give them a neutral, negative or harm their rating in anyway, I just do not give feedback.
As a seller I give feedback the day I mail the item.
I know guys, but I'm honestly a little bit turned off by my inability to leave actual PRODUCTIVE feedback. Really, think about it. What If we could leave feedback/rate (as a seller) the amount of days to pay? What if we could be honest in our feedback--like in my case where the guy left a neg for not receiving the second card pictured? AS A SELLER YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE!!!!
Why feed a system that is broken?
Right. So you can leave negative feedback to sellers with impunity and no worry about any type of retribution.
Here's the definition of the internet tough guy...
In the old days of feed back the seller did not care what they sent or how long it took to get the card or item to you. because they knew if they got a neg, they would leave a neg. you must be a seller with not so good feedback. by the way i have left only 1 neg. since the change. thats right 1. in 2500+ soooo i am an internet bad guy. next time you get screwed on ebay----leave that posi!
Rickzcards said:How so? As a seller you can't leave nothing but a positive so why does it matter? Ebay and their rules aren't perfect but as we all know feedback can boost/reduce your sales totals. I always leave feedback regardless. As a seller I do so if not immediately, at least within a few days. As a buyer I leave feedback after the item is received and inspected(only to make sure there are no huge defects i.e. creases, tears, etc.). I do it as a common courtesy. I don't always receive feedback in return but whatever, I have at least shown I am the better person. How many sellers have had these simular rants after having received negs/neutrals? If we only had a nickel for each. Has anyone learned from these posts? Doesn't seem like it because it continually happens so why set yourself up for a possible scenario like this, just leave the damn feedback, CYA. Why wait until the buyer leaves feedback, nothing you can do in return other than a positive so waiting on them is futile and leaves you open to all the idiots on ebay that don't know better or abuse the system. It isn't hard as many have testified to leave feedback so I have no sympathy for anyone that this happens to, sorry.sportscardtheory said:fengzhang said:I agree both sides should leave feedback for every transaction.
That said, there are a couple of things that I absolutely do not agree with:
1. The notion that sellers should leave feedback immediately after getting paid. WHY? The transaction hasn't ended. There are tens of ways for the buyer to screw you over after paying (from demanding refunds, to being unreasonable, to do chargebacks, damaging the card and then returning it, etc.). There is no reason for the seller to leave feedback for the buyer until the transaction is completed.
2. With #1 in mind, the buyer should probably leave feedback first. The transaction is usually concluded with the buyer receiving the item and being happy with it. Unless the buyer wants to take the times to email the seller, there's no way for the seller to know that the buyer is satisfied until they receive feedback. In the end, both sides should leave feedback but it seems more intuitive to me for the buyer to leave feedback first.
Agreed 100%. The transaction is over when the buyer receives their end and are satisfied. That's when a seller should leave feedback. Any earlier than that is just pure risk on the sellers part.

sportscardtheory said:Simply receiving a payment doesn't end a transaction. As a seller, I leave feedback when feedback is received, because only then do I know the buyer received the item and is satisfied. As a buyer, I leave feedback as soon as the item is received. If everyone simply went by these same simple guidelines, there would be no feedback problems.

The transaction is not complete until the buyer receives their end and is happy. That's when I leave feedback. It works for me. Anytime someone asks me to leave feedback, I do without hesitation, but I won't leave it until it's left for me. It just makes sense to me. It also keeps people from taking shots at me because not everyone even knows that sellers can't leave negative feedback. I rarely if ever have people take shots, so it seems to be working.
