I want to know what baseball images you guys would consider iconic. I am having a painting done and want to incorporate as many images as i can for it.

My contribution is a little questionable though a true iconic image. Kind of a sad moment so I can't decide whether or not to use it. Maybe a happier Gehrig moment?

Gehrig was actually the first thought that came to my mind.

Other options:

Ruth's called shot
Ripken's lap around Camden

I thought of this:

and this almost simultaneously:

Ripken is a good one, and I hear what you are saying about Lou, but it's more of the speech, not the image, IMHO.

Aaron's turn at 3rd when that long-haired guy runs up to him during the trot after the record breaking HR stick in my mind too.

Maine of course......
Mays over-the-shoulder catch in '54 Series
Berra leaping into Larsen's arms after '56 WS perfect game
Aaron rounding the bases after 715 HR (pushing fans out of way)
Fisk leaping in air waving ball fair in 6th game of '75 Series

I could continue if you want more......

For me the ball going through Buckner's legs and Schilling's bloody sock.

Maybe not iconic around baseball, but iconic in Minnesota:

The catch:

Conlon's image of Cobb stealing third is considered iconic

Jackie Robinson stealing home under Berra's tag in the 1955 series, as published in LIFE magazine (one of the biggest mags of it's time) was another that comes to mind.
