I didn't buy any, so someone might be able to clear this up for me.

I was under the impression that any Razor Metal cards not purchased via the dutch auctions on eBay were destroyed.

If I am correct about this much of it, then did thepit.com purchase these via dutch auction?

http://thepit.com/news/show_news_detail.asp?newsId=9693

I'm confused regardless. :?

Yes, there was a buyer affiliated with the Pit who bought a huge quantity of them via eBay.

The time to be confused is only "if" Metal card's of player's that the Pit did not buy begin to show up over there in quantity (then that would be fishy), but this was reported early on by AKA Coastal that the Pit had purchased certain player's to do this with.

Mike,
If you watched the auctions as they completed, there was one buyer who seemed to spend a ton of money buying up large lots of particular players. It turns out it was a "pit" ebay account that was doing the buying.

Actually it was a buyer not affiliated with the pit, who bought them with the intention of selling them to the pit.

Because Razor said they weren't and the pit confirmed it.

So, how does one go about buying large random lot's of cards then sell to the pit without prior consideration?

No one said he didn't know that the pit was going to buy from him.

So were splitting hairs here than.

If someone bought the lot's with intent and prior consideration for seling to the pit, then in essence, he was affiliated with them(albiet a middle man) despite an official label.

affiliated

–adjective:
being in close formal or informal association

I did not like this when I first heard the plan and I trust it less now.

I'm 99% sure thepit bought the cards. I can't see some individual throwing down $6000 and taking a chance on thepit with them to make a profit. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe Chris bought them to put on thepit. Something went down where this product wouldn't be a total failure.

I have no reason to believe it is any different than what the pit and razor say it is.

Hmm, I don't like seeing all those names on the list.

Didn't you buy some of the few Casey Kellys that sold? Was it a SP or am I thinking of another player. Anyone have a link to how of each card sold?

I bought 10 Kellys, but looks like someone did buy 50 of each of them pretty much. So sales were much much lower before that.

Just looked through, somehow didn't notice someone buying 50 of each at first. The total sales numbers are the same so nothing changed, but someone did buy a 50 lot of a few of them.

Gotcha, so all the people on the above list were purchased in some quantity by at least 1 buyer?
