Here is my team right now:
QB: Matt Ryan
QB: Matt Hasselback
WR: Ausin Collie
WR: Steve Smith (CAR)
WR: Hakeem Nicks
WR: Roddy White
RB: Jahvid Best
RB: Rashard Mendenhall
RB: Jason Snelling
TE: Marcedes Lewis
TE: Brandon Pettigrew
Utility: Darren McFadden
Utility: Josh Freeman
Kicker: Garrett Hartley
Defense: Pittsburgh Steelers
Defense: Tennesse Titans

Bench:
RB: Ray Rice (How disappointing can you be in your first two games?)
RB: Pierre Thomas (A solid fantasy player, but can i honestly start him over Mcfadden, Mendenhall, or Snelling?
RB: Tim Hightower
RB: Clinton Portis
WR: Eddie Royal
WR: Calvin Johnson (Another really disappointing fantasy player, without a QB. Currently trying to trade him for Felix Jones.)

I am having some trouble determining how to start/bench/trade from this lot of player. Getting rid of guys like Calvin Johnson and Ray Rice seems stupid, but almost necessary at this point.

Bench Snelling for Rice...don't even think about it.

And with Bush out, expect Pierre to get a lot more action.

^ This is exactly why you won't last long this season.

Felix Jones who runs in a committee on a passing team for Calvin Johnson who no matter the QB or coverage still manages to make plays?

Benching Ray Rice who is playing the Browns this week for Snelling who isn't starting in week 3?

Dude. It's not even Week 3 yet.

Congrats goes out to the guy that gets to steal Megatron and Rizzle from you for Felix Jones and a kicker to be named later..

^ what he said!!!

Snelling will only be worth starting if Turner goes down with a serious injury.

Bench Snelling & Freeman and start both Thomas and Rice.

Ray Rice just might have already put me out of contention. Rice is still looking for his first TD, and is sitting at a lack lust 65 yards per game. I can't just wait for him to start producing, and there has to come a point where you make tough decisions.

Calvin Johnson has 1 TD on the year, with under 50 yards per game receiving. Hakeem Nicks, who has been sitting on my bench, has 4 TD's and 130 yards rec'd. Another guy with a ton of talent, but again, how long until he produces (especially for a team like Detroit who seems content with giving the ball to Jahvid Best most of the time)?

Snelling could start; Turner has a minor injury, and Norwood is out for the rest of the year; to be honest, Snelling looks like a fantasy monster to me. I agree its a risk to start him this week, one that I will probably remedy before Sunday.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++1

Falcons and the Saints this week will be a very close game.....lots of PT in the 2nd half running out the clock.

PT had one of his best games last season against this team .....14 carries for 91 yards rushing and a TD and another TD receiving.

Bench Snelling & Freeman and start both Thomas and Rice.

Snelling won't even sniff a goal line carry and Turner will carry it 25+ times.

Thomas and Rice may carry the ball a combined 40+ times this weekend and snelling will carry it 3 times tops.

Keep in mind that Turner was cleared to play last week if the game got close and he was needed. He would have carried it 20 times in the second half if it was a one possession game.

Turner has a minor injury, and his backup (Jerious Norwood) is out for the season. Snelling is #2 on the depth chat right now, and WILL continue to get touches (especially after the game he just had). As I said, still risky to start, but could pay huge dividends.

Here is the problem with this........Rice can play BIGGER dividends with HALF the risk than Snelling.

Rice can get 132 and 2 TDs as a ceiling......Snelling will be 36 yards and 1 TD if they are up 50 at the half on New Orleans.....will never happen.

Trust brother, you gots to have trust 8-)

Fantasy Analysis
The Saints allowed Frank Gore to rack up 168 total yards and a pair of touchdowns on Monday night, so Turner could be in for a nice chunk of Fantasy points if he's good to go on Sunday as expected. Follow his progress throughout this week, and if he's clear to play he will remain a must-start No. 1 RB.
(Updated 09/22/2010).

Turner confirms he should be fine: Falcons RB Michael Turner (groin) said Wednesday he couldn't put a percentage on how well he feels heading into Sunday's Week 3 game against New Orleans. "I didn't tear it or anything; it's not that serious," Turner said. "I'll be ready this week."
(Updated 09/22/2010)

Thomas, who had a career-best 39 catches in 2009 and has averaged 35 receptions over the past two seasons, actually had more catches (11) and yards (72) than Bush this year. Thomas, though, lacks Bush's open-field ability. But the fact he stands to gain some touches with Bush sidelined, then that significantly increases Thomas' Fantasy appeal. Consider Thomas a low-end No. 1/high-end No. 2 Fantasy RB for Week 3.
(Updated 09/21/2010).

Thomas to 'get more snaps': The loss of running back Reggie Bush to a broken right fibula, an injury confirmed to The Sports Xchange on Tuesday by agent Joel Segal and a team official not approved to publicly discuss the injury, likely won't change the design of the New Orleans Saints' diverse passing game. But it will change the personnel, which could be a huge benefit to RB Pierre Thomas. "We're still working on the plan, but Pierre (Thomas) will probably get some more snaps, and we'll probably change some stuff with our receivers," a Saints coach said. "It will take a little tinkering." The Saints will play the Falcons in Week 3.

I would just hate to waste another week starting Ray Rice, and have him produce another 50 yard game with no TD. I have a stable full of RB (Tim Hightower or Clinton Portis could start instead of Snelling).

The Thomas thing is noted, I had him in Freeman's utility spot, but again, he hasn't been GREAT this year, and Freeman has been. Matt Ryan and Matt Hasselback will give you 20-30 points a week easy, so its not like i want to replace either of them. I could move Darren McFadden to RB over Snelling, start Thomas at utility, and bench Snelling? I guess that would be the move to make if I didn't want to start rice?

Go ahead and start Snelling then, it's your team, do as you see fit.....BUT, don't come here looking for sympathy after he only gets you 3 or 4 points.

You can't win or lose the season in two weeks.

And as for Snelling, he played great against an Arizona defense that gave up a huge 30+ yard run to him. And if you're of the belief that these first two weeks are incredibly important...Arizona's run defense is ranked 31st currently while New Orleans is averaging 50 less yards per game and ranks 19th.

It's your call, but I know who I'd start.

Rice plays CLEVELAND this week, they're not all that great against the run.

Freeman plays the Steelers this week, he won't be getting many points.

Wouldn't dream of it. I'm just looking for a good reason to bench Snelling, and the only thing that i have heard so far is that Ray Rice is "due" for a big game (which is the worst excuse to start a player ever), and Snelling wont get any touches.

Snelling is the #2 RB in the system, and should get anywhere from 10-20 touches, unless i am seriously missing something. Turner probably will get limited (even to a very limited degree) because of his injury and how well Snelling played the week before.

Why Rice over Mendenhall, Thomas, Portis, Hightower, etc...

He has sucked this year, and shouldn't he see a decrease in carries due to the added WR threat(s) on BAL?

Clevland has allowed 17 points and then 16 points in consecutive weeks. During those games, no RB rushed for more than 85 yards, and no RB has yet to score a TD on them.

Point?

Freeman may have a tough day against the Steelers, and due to the fact they are my starting defense, maybe I should mix of that last slot.

::facepalm::

Adding WR threats only makes your running game all that much better, as the defense can't stack the box to help the run. Just because a team adds a few WR's to their team that are better than what they used to have doesn't mean they will pass every down, this isn't a video game. You have to run the ball to keep a somewhat balanced offense.

Kansas City has a RBBC, so add Jones and Charles together and there's 132 yards on 33 carries last week. Week one Cleveland played Tampa Bay, Caddy Williams isn't exactly a good measuring stick to use.
