Then why did I get this when using the 500?

Every card I've seen posted on fcb from an Epson scanner has these same lines. So what is your magic trick?

That's really weird Charlie, no clue. I've never had an issue with it whatsoever.

Here's a scan I just did of two Orange Refractors, on the same scan (with dark gray cardstock behind the Chris Young). I also attached a screen shot of the settings that produced this...nothing resized, etc.

do all of these scanners mentioned have an auto-cropping feature? its a royal pain when scanning multiple cards to go into a separate screen and manually crop each card.

can anyone answer this?

My solution on this is totally kludgey but functional. I cut out a grid with cutouts on a 9x12 piece of card stock. As long as the cards are inside there...I set the crops with the first scan and then just run with it for the rest of the session.

So for all types of cards, what is the sentiment for type of scanner. Canoscan??? We should have prices and pros and cons on this thread. I am in the need of a new one as my glass got scratched. I am looking for something where you just scan and no editing other than cropping is done.
