He's actually not really a prospect anymore, but I just wanted to point out how great of a Spring my man Julio Borbon was having.

Probably will not be the lead-off man again in Texas, but seems to be a lot more comfortable in the 9 spot. 31 ABs this spring and only 1 strike out. He seemed to have a real issue with the K's last year. Hopefully his bat at 9 can give a spark to the Rangers as they move through their line-up for the 2nd time in each game.

His wheels have seemed to got stronger as well, watching him run to first this spring. 30+ SB potential.

I hope he hits well enough to keep Josh Hamilton in left. I like Borbon but he has a real funky uppercut swing. Too many pop ups last year for a speed guy.

Agreed. He is our modern day Willie Mays Hayes.

I never knew what a real "stash" was until I saw the scans of all your Borbons a couple years back. I think it's still the most impressive compilation of a single player's cards that I've seen.

Thanks.

I have thinned it out some, selling a little off last year as the Rangers made their WS push. I bought in remarkably low on some of his cards (about 20-30 base autos at or around $2 - cheapest being $0.50) that even with a little bit of hype and results, I could cash in.

:fingerscrossed:
