I actually drooled over the Mickey Morandini cards. I know, sounds crazy. Mickey was my favorite player as a kid. Met him a couple times. His All-Star selection was one of the highlights of my youth.

Doesn't sound crazy to me. I really like the way his hustle is depicted through his cards. I mean look at how many show him plowing into a catcher, or turning a double play. Also like the pics that show how far he choked up on the bat. I really wish they would have won that 93 series.

Glad to see the O'Gara cards got there!

Awesome collection and great focus! Easily one of my favorite collections that has been posted. I look forward to more updates.

I have thought about doing a University of Maine baseball collection a few times but it would be hard to have one and not include Paul Kariya and hockey.

I would also like to thank pghbucos as his threads really inspired me to post something. I also used a lot of his layout designs (I asked if he was cool with it), but tried to make it unique.

Jason I don't know how I missed this thread until today but I am glad I finally remembered to look for it. It is so cool to see all the Orie's in one spot and that game used bat is awesome. your collection is amazing and I never knew there were so many Pirates that went to Indiana.

I have actually known Marty all my life and have a few of his cards laying around here.. I will check and see if I have doubles of any of them and if I don't I will just ask him if he still has any.. but not sure he kept any extras of them for himself.

He just recently was hired at North Baltimore High School (where he went to HS) as the head baseball coach (I coach 8th grade basketball there, and will have his oldest son in a couple years!).

I'll see if I can wrestle you something.

Thanks, the Doumit collection is still going strong, there just aren't enough cards to keep me busy! I've thought of if there was a fire at my house, and I could only save one box of cards, I think I would still save the Doumit collection above anything else. I missed seeing your ST photos this year, but if the ST stats are any kind of guide to the regular season, I think he is going to have a great year in MN.

One update today. Still waiting on my second big card, but I've got tracking info and I hope to have it early next week. This one isn't to shabby though, and a tough card to find.
