I'd like to ask you a serious question - What don't you agree with?Tomlinson21RB said:I know I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I don't have a problem with it.
What are you asking? I don't agree with murder, rape, or stealing amongst other things? Did that answer the question?Card Magnet said:I'd like to ask you a serious question - What don't you agree with?Tomlinson21RB said:I know I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I don't have a problem with it.

So what if he didn't congratulate the Magic? I mean, I would have if I were him, but geez, it's not that big of a deal. I don't think of LeBron any differently after last night. I personally don't care if he's a "poor sport." It's not like he committed dirty fouls or anything during the games.
At the very least, it teaches a little sportsmanship to the millions of kids watching. It's about showing a little class. It's about coming down off of your unjustified throne in the heavens where you've been placed for a moment to show honor. It's about love and respect for the game. It's about not being an ass. It's about being able to hold your head up high. It's the only way you're not a complete loser after you fail even after giving your all. I could go on, but I think that's enough.Tomlinson21RB said:Wehttam6 said:+1Tomlinson21RB said:I know I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I don't have a problem with it.

Plus, what do those fake handshakes really mean? When Bill Belichick has the 1/2 second handshake with Eric Mangini after a football game that is below meaningless. Neither guy likes the other and neither is congratulating the other on the inside. It's all for show.
This isn't tee ball where everyone gets a trophy at the end of the year. Since I just brought up baseball, can we get an article blasting every single professional baseball player for being a poor sport? I never see them shaking hands with the other team after the game or a playoff series?

Hands aren't always shaken at the end of every playoff game because there's another to follow. It's done at the end of a series because the competitiveness ends there.
Perhaps we should tell our children that if they lose that little league game, they should just walk off. Don't do the ceremonial handslap after. If you don't win, leave as much of a loser as possible.

The difference is these aren't children. These are guys getting paid millions to go out and destroy each other for an entire series. I like that there was a little anger about it. It shows he cares. This kind of crap didn't happen in the old days. Rivals literally hated each other and played harder because of it. It's all the bull shat p.c. nonsense that has hurt sports and life in general.
I do disagree with him not doing the post game interviews and leaving West and Williams to do it. I think he should have been fined for that.
100% correct. He has to know it's a business, and it's his obligation to the business that is the NBA and Cleveland Cavaliers to do a post game interview, so he absolutely has to be fined for that. Everything else, though, is totally whatever.Tomlinson21RB said:Card Magnet said:At the very least, it teaches a little sportsmanship to the millions of kids watching. So the fact that he has had no help since his arrival in Cleveland escaped him until now? If he didn't want to shake hands fine, but it's so hypocritical to stand around after he wins for everyone to come up and congratulate him. What Lebron showed the world is that he is a little bitch.Bornagaincollector said:I think he was upset that he got NO help in this series and it all hit him at once.I'm a little disappointed that he didn't shake hands, but i'm going to be that upset about it.It's so easy for the fan, media to slam him,but will never have the pressure on them like he does trying to bring a championship to Cleveland!

It is hypocritical, but let's look at the body of work. Lebron has always been one of the classiest guys in a league full of thugs. He does a fantastic job of embracing the role of "face of the league." Kobe has also embraced that role in the last year or so (but not at all before that). I am not going to let one loss redefine my opinions of Lebron.Rickzcards said:So the fact that he has had no help since his arrival in Cleveland escaped him until now?
