So if they happen to run the table and Texas loses looks like they would face Florida/Alabama in the National Championship. What say you

It would be hard pressed to say they wouldn't. I don't see another deserving team, especially if Iowa beats OSU is Columbus.

Not even speaking as a Cyclone fan here, but Iowa loses to Wisconsin this weekend in Madison.

I wouldn't see why they wouldn't be in the championship game.....but this is the NCAA we're talking about, so anything can happen.
As big an Iowa fan as I am, I shudder to think about Iowa playing Florida in the National Championship game. I remember back in '02 when they were ranked #3 or 4 in the country and got beat down by USC. As cool as it was to see them playing on a big stage like that, the loss was a bad one.
I love the Hawks, but have a feeling they will be outmatched against OSU, especially playing in Columbus. I really hope they continue to win, but the realist in me sees them playing a less significant bowl game come holiday season.

We'll see what happens with the rest of the season. I want to see them play some of the better teams. But in the words of a great coach (at melting down), Dennis Green, "If you want to crown their ass, then crown their ass! But the Hawkeyes are who we thought they were! We let em off the hook!"

Still think Stanzi is too reckless with the ball to not throw one game away for them. Way too many risky throws without enough velocity on them.

1st we were going to get killed by Penn St then Michigan was going to wreck us ::facepalm::
Did you see how ****** Wisconsin played against Ohio St? Are defense is just as good as theirs is. :lol:

As far as a national championship goes Stanzi needs to settle down an are rushing game needs to be strong all game long not just in the 2nd half. If we do run the table an Texas looses we will be in the Championship because Florida an Bama will play each other in the SEC championship. Then if Cinci happens to go un beat we will get the nod over them because of the conference we are in. Im not saying we will run the table yet. But if we beat Wisconsin an Michigan St we have a damn good chance.

I do think Stanzi is getting a lot better. He just needs to Settle down in the begging of the game. Like in the Michigan game aside from the 1st pick 6 of the game he played great. if he can stop turning the ball over he will be 100 times better of a player.
