What do you think... Do you consider a rookie card that is bought back, signed, and re-released in a new pack is still a rookie card?

However, I think a buyback from the card company that is packed out is legit - you got the actual RC and an auto that is authenticated by the card manufacturer. But hive's point is well taken. If the auto is on card, then great. If it is a lousy sticker, then it is an alteration of the card - and an ugly one at that.
I believe we will see more of the buybacks in the future due to the success of the Aflac autos in 2008 BDPP. The Aflac buybacks have proven to be very effective in offsetting Razor's entry into the hobby.
I thought 2006 Bowman Originals was a brilliant concept but a lot of the names on the checklist were weak. I would like to see that brand come back again.

Not to mention probably the most faked set of all time.

It is still the original card just altered. So technically it is a rookie card that has been altered.
